Have you ever been to a fancy event stuck in a rental suit that felt like a medieval torture device? Ill-fitting, itchy, and let’s not even mention the questionable stain by the pocket—surely, there must be a better way to channel my inner James Bond?
Determined to banish the memory of that scratchy experience, I decided to find the best suit rentals Toronto has to offer. Here’s what I looked for: impeccable style, comfortable fabrics, and a variety of options to suit any occasion (and budget!).
So, for those who want to look sharp without breaking the bank, or simply ditch the post-event dry cleaning hassle, here are the top suit rental spots in Toronto.
How much does renting a suit cost in Toronto?
Renting a suit in Toronto typically costs between $100 and $300, depending on the brand, style, and rental duration. High-end options or designer suits can push the price to the upper end of the range or even higher.
Additionally, some rental shops may offer packages that include accessories like ties, vests, and shoes, which can influence the overall cost.
How We Chose the Best Suit Rentals in Toronto
1. Andrew’s Formals
Andrew’s Formals is a family-run business in Eglinton with a long history (since 1969!).
They have a decent variety of suits, from classic single-breasted to slim-fit styles, and they carry some snazzy brands like Couture 1901 and Ike Evening.
Also, they have vests in all sorts of colors (platinum, lavender, etc.), different dress shirt styles, ties, shoes, and even pants—basically everything you need to complete the look. Students even get a cool $50 discount for booking early, which is always a win.
We like their fast and friendly service, with alterations done on the spot—perfect for those last-minute tailoring needs.
Keep in mind, however, that while they accept walk-ins, appointments are recommended. Also, you can’t try on the pants until your final fitting; this is not ideal if you need a perfect fit right away.
Pros
- Over 55 years of experience
- Carries classic single-breasted and slim-fit
- Carries Couture 1901 and Ike Evening brands
- Offers vests, shirts, ties, pants, and shoes
- Has a student discount

Wouldn’t go anywhere else
“This is the only place we go to for my husband when we have an event (wedding included!). Whether you want to rent or buy a suit/tuxedo, Nick’s your guy. He is extremely polite and friendly, and very knowledgeable about the business. Many options and styles to choose from. They have shoes, socks, suspenders, cufflinks, ties, bowties, you name it they have it. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend!!”

We all looked super sharp
“I cannot speak highly enough about the quality and the service of this place!
Initially, a bunch of my friends did the tuxedo rentals for a buddy’s wedding and we all looked super sharp. They also provide a unique opportunity to use the money you spent on the rental towards the purchase of a suit or tuxedo within a year. This was perfect as I have my own wedding next year. Today I just purchased a tuxedo and I couldn’t be more excited for my wedding day. Thank you David & team!!”

2. Steven Fashions
Steven Fashions is a Woodbridge-based men’s clothing store that also offers suit rental. In fact, you can rent a suit in three easy steps: find a style, get measured, rent, and return—no muss, no fuss.
Full rentals include everything from the jacket to cufflinks, plus alterations. And if you need just the pants or jacket, they offer partial rentals too, which is handy if you already have some pieces.
For those who like the suit so much you want to keep it, they offer a discount if you decide to buy it after renting.
We also learned about their great customer service, with staff helping customers to choose the right suit style, color, and fit, as well as perform alterations. Worldwide shipping is even offered.
Note that rental suits start at $219.99, which isn’t the cheapest option out there, and be mindful of extra charges for certain accessories and rush shipping.

- Can purchase rented suits at a discounted rate
- Can assist with suit choice and alterations
- Offers worldwide shipping
Cons
- A bit pricey
- Has a rush fee
Truly unmatched when it comes to a suit rental place
“My groomsmen were personally tailored by Steven. We rented suits and it was very close to our wedding but he was able to make it happen. His accuracy and efficiency and delivery are truly unmatched when it comes to a suit rental place. I would recommend them over Moores and Indochino any day of the week!”

“Friendly, helpful and didn’t try to upsell. I returned another time and was helped by Izel for some out of town measurements (for a wedding rental in Alberta). She was kind, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process.”

4. Tuxedo Junction
Tuxedo Junction has 60+ years of experience in formalwear that could translate to a smooth rental experience and helpful advice. We also noticed that they offer affordable rental rates, which is always a win.
From shirts and ties to vests, they’ve got a large selection of accessories to complete your formal look. And they stock a wide range of sizes for men and boys—no need to go to different stores to find everything you need.
They even offer various pant styles (traditional, modern, or slim fit). As for shoes, they offer sharp patent leather or glossy shoes in classic black or white, with both oxford and elongated toe styles.
On the other hand, some customers have mentioned that their shirts looked a bit outdated. While a classic look is nice, you might want to check the condition of the shirts before renting to ensure they’re not looking tired.

- Affordable rental rates
- Wide range of sizes for men and boys
- Carries shirts, ties, and vests
- Traditional, modern, and slim-fit pants

Extremely knowledgeable and made the process painless
“I recently rented a tuxedo for myself and my son for my son’s confirmation. Tony was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and made the whole process painless. Tony even swapped my son’s dress shirt on the morning of the event as my son had spilt his drink on the shirt. We called and Tony was more than accommodating and went out of his way to get my son a replacement shirt. In the end, the suits looked amazing and I can’t say enough about how positive the whole experience was. Thank you Tony!”
