The quality of installation is our top concern for windshield replacement. During our assessment, Wind Auto Glass met most of our criteria but missed a few marks in certain areas.

In terms of products and supplies, we have no complaints because the materials they used met quality standards and specifications. They can also service any make and model of cars and auto glass so we’re satisfied in that department.

However, we did find minor issues when it comes to the longevity and durability of the installed windshield. There were very few customers who had to come back due to recurring issues of water leaks and noise.

But on a larger scale, these concerns seem to be isolated issues because it’s not a common complaint about the company. Plus, clients are covered with a lifetime guarantee on workmanship in case they see leaks or glass defects.

If speed is a concern for you, expect to receive your new windshield in as fast as 30 minutes here. Actually, their average turnaround time hits at 45 minutes, which is still considerably fast concerning the amount of work necessary.

Finally, we have to label them as one of the best in terms of pricing. On average, they beat the competition by offering prices 10% lower than most shops – they’ll also assist you to claim costs with your insurance company.

Starting off with its installation, there are a lot of things that we favored about Sprint Auto Glass Repair. One of these is the type of glass they install because they only use Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) glass.

Naturally, these materials are also installed under OEM specifications, which we also like. Throughout our evaluation, we also didn’t find any installation-related complaints, which we take as a good sign of quality.

Perhaps our favorite part about them is their 24/7 availability throughout the year. This means you can call them anytime you need help for either home service or on-site windshield replacement.

Our least favorite part though would have to be the customer service and response times. There are instances where clients had to wait for days for a response – which, in our opinion, kind of kills the convenience of the 24/7 availability.

Nonetheless, the company has a pretty fast turnaround time of 45 minutes to 1 hour. It may not be enough to make up for the customer service but at least clients don’t have to wait for weeks to get their car back.

As per the prices, the rates are fair and reflect the level of service you get. Clients enjoy lifetime warranties and stress-free insurance claims assistance – all of which met our criteria which we value.

As per installation, the turnaround time isn’t excruciatingly long but it’s possible that it may take the whole day to finish. In some cases though, it’s possible to be in and out of the shop in as fast as 30 minutes.

Like most shops, they can also assist clients when it comes to claims. And if your policy has the right coverage, they may even repair your windshield for free (provincial legislation policies also apply).

Lastly, this shop remains undefeated when it comes to experience because they’ve been operating since 1960. Plus, their rates are fantastic since they’re about three times cheaper than most dealerships.

In some cases, you may not be able to drive your car to the shops for replacement. And this is where Ram Auto Glass comes into the picture as a mobile auto glass service providing replacements in the GTA.

Note that most shops also offer mobile services under their wing. But since this is Ram Auto Glass’s specialty and core service, we reckon that they’re the best in this field – also considering that they have 20 years of experience.

Once they arrive at your home, they’ll use every space possible to render services. Actually, they don’t even start with the replacements first – they will first attempt to repair the windshield to hopefully save you some cash.

Upon inspection, we also found that they only use glass that passed the DOT (Department of Transportation) safety standards. At least we know that they don’t use substandard materials, which would’ve been a big issue for us.

As per warranties, they have a lifetime guarantee against any water or air leaks. They also complete their work in under an hour plus the prices are fair and well within the city’s average.

Naturally, we also gave them a point for providing direct assistance with insurance claims. 

However, unlike other shops that pay up to 100% windshield deductible, this shop can only cover up to $500. To be fair though, it’s still a significant amount of money.

Axis Auto Glass offers a lot of things that we always look for when it comes to windshield replacement. They work fast, they have a solid warranty, and use top-quality products at favorable rates.

Let’s start with the replacement service first. The glass that they use is either OEM or OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) and the choice largely affects the total cost of the installation.

We don’t have qualms about OEE quality since it’s comparable to the original – except for the fact that it doesn’t bear the manufacturer’s logo. As long as the clients know that they’ll be using OEE and will be charging less for it, then it’s totally fine.

Their turnaround times aren’t the best either, by the way. Still, we found them relatively fast from the appointment setting to the actual replacement. 

Plus, they have almost every glass make and model you can imagine so you can basically find one for your car very quickly. That counts, especially when your car’s model is a bit finicky.

The lifetime warranty on glass services is already a standard at this point and they also deliver it. On top of that, they pay up to 100% of the deductibles paid which is an immense help to the clients.

They do lack a bit in terms of experience but they satisfied all that we’re looking for. So far, we’re pretty happy with what they offer.
