Aside from the view, there’s an annual DJ skate night where you can enjoy ice skating to live music for free. The centre is flat and large – leaving lots of great places to watch the fireworks – with food trucks serving poutine, a Toronto classic.

  • Bring your own chairs! There aren’t many seats to accommodate everyone, especially on New Year’s Eve, so it can get exhausting having to stand around waiting for fireworks for hours.

Ripley’s Aquarium is perfect for families who want to do something fun on the last day of the year!

On New Year’s Eve, Ripley’s actually serves food, which you can enjoy while listening to some live music. They also do family-friendly games, if you’re in the mood to get competitive!

Pro tip:

  • Visit the balcony on the upper floor of the aquarium, where there’s bound to be a good view of the city’s fireworks display.
