5 Best Kosher Caterers in Toronto Approved by the Local Jewish Community

We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.
  • Kosher Certification - We chose kosher caterers that have proper certification issued by a reputable kosher authority.
  • Catering Experience - We picked caterers who have extensive experience handling special events, such as bar mitzvahs, weddings, and Shabbat dinners.
  • Menu Customization - We considered kosher caterers that can customize their menu, depending on the client’s personal preference, allergies, and dietary restrictions.
  • Reputation & Reviews - We prioritized those that have positive reviews, testimonials, and feedback from previous clients.
  • Value for Money - Sure, kosher catering can be expensive, but we chose caterers that provide a balance of quality and affordability.

My friend attended a bar mitzvah for his nephew that would’ve been perfect—except for the kosher catering. For instance, the gefilte fish was soggy and overcooked, and the challah was a tad too tough. Oy vey!

To be a good kosher caterer, it’s not enough to just follow the dietary laws; one should also serve yummy food. I mean, they should know how to bring the wow factor to every wedding, bar mitzvah, and Shabbat dinner, right?

Moving forward, make sure that no guest of yours should ever have to suffer from a soggy kugel (or a tough brisket). Here’s our list of the best kosher caterers in the city!

How much does kosher catering cost in Toronto?

In Toronto, kosher catering may cost $70 to 200 per person, depending on the menu, venue, and level of service. Premium options like gourmet selections, plated service, and custom menus may drive up the price.

Best choice I could have made for my wedding

“This is the best choice I could have made for my wedding! Not only was the food absolutely delicious, Marla Kay was instrumental in making the day go smoothly! Marla comes with years of knowledge and really good quality contacts. She coordinated with the vendors. I would recommend this Kosher Caterer to anyone who is have a kosher event. Everything was easy. The price was right. The food was INCREDIBLE – I was able to provide my guests with a variety of options, and this caterer was so accommodating to various dietary needs. People are still talking about the wonderful food. Marla was amazing!”

Made sure that all the dietary restrictions were adhered to

“My daughter’s wedding was very special because of Mitzuyan Kosher Catering. Our family is vegetarian with many health and dietary issues. Norman, the owner was very accommodating and created a fabulous kosher vegetarian dinner and made sure that all the dietary restrictions were adhered to. The food was delicious and the service was superb. All our guests kept raving about the kosher food and were amazed that kosher vegetarian could be so good. The dinner satisfied the meat eaters. Thank you Norman. I highly recommend Mitzuyan.”

Unique, exquisitely flavored, and plated artistically

“Gladstone’s catered the most beautiful event for us. Raphy met with us several times to help us refine and personalize the menu to reflect our cultural heritages. The food was unique, exquisitely flavoured, and plated artistically – from hors d’oeuvres to salads to mains to the stellar dessert buffet. The entire Gladstone’s team was efficient and professional as well as being warm and helpful. They elevated our special day with their elegance and attention to detail, and we look forward to future events with Gladstone’s.”

Best kosher caterer in the GTA by far

“I have used David Silber’s F&B for all of my children’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah events in the past and have always been thrilled with everything they had prepared for us. So it was a no-brainer when planning for our wedding that we would use their services again. My wife and I were married less than a week ago and F&B served up a menu that had so many of our guests beyond impressed. David is a 1st class operator who runs a 1st class operation. I would not hesitate in recommending their services to anyone who asks. Best kosher caterer in the GTA by far.”

Hip but classy food that was also incredibly delicious

“F+B shattered the stigma associated with kosher catering with hip but classy food for our wedding that was also incredibly delicious. We have fairly sophisticated palettes, and F+B’s attention to detail (such as finishing touches with micro-greens and ingredient authenticity), ability to make everything BETTER than the non-kosher counterpart (like onion rings, kimchi fries, southern fried chicken), creativity (5 star New York pretzel stand, chocolate covered sponge toffee and s’mores) and overall fun with food, will not disappoint. From start to finish, they carefully ensured the final product was same or better than what we tasted, and service – the clincher – was bar none: on time and perfectly executed. There is no need to compromise. THE BEST!”

Milk ‘N Honey is a restaurant and catering company owned by the Zombeks. They offer a very wide range (yep, we’ve seen their menu) of kosher catering options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Check out their All Occasion Trays (e.g. sushi, pastry, etc.), which can serve up to 20. Their Breakfast Trays are also popular, especially for early business meetings—nothing like munching on shakshuka while Dan from accounting explains his report.

Platters for fish, salads, soups, hors d’oeuvres, crepes, and more are offered as well.

If you’re looking for something interactive, we recommend their Live Pizza Station. Guests can choose their own sauces and toppings while their servers make it in a jiff.

Unfortunately, some customers have said that their food quality does not match the price. This is a common complaint for those who have really extensive menus.

Pros

  • Has an onsite restaurant
  • Very wide range of catering options
  • Offers trays and platters
  • Offers live serving stations

Cons

  • Food quality doesn’t match the price

Food was delicious and served beautifully!

“Great, quick and friendly service! Food delicious and served beautifully! Would highly recommend!”

Definitely my favorite kosher dairy restaurant

“I have been lunching, dining at Milk ‘N Honey for over 25 years. The service is excellent and the food is delectable. I especially recommend the fish n chips, mushroom crepes, mushroom soup and onion soup. They also do great catering. Our waiter has been there as long as we’ve been going there, which is a great testament to the owner. Definitely my favorite kosher dairy restaurant.”

Friday: 7 AM – 4 PM

From what we’ve seen on their socials, Menchens Glatt Kosher Catering seems to live up to their motto of “simply sophisticated dining.”

Their kosher catering menu includes hors d’oeuvre, appetizers, trio appetizers, and side dishes. As for entrees, their crowd-pleaser is the roasted citrus-herbed chicken leg, coated with crispy corn flour—yum!

Two live kosher catering stations are available as well. The Chef’s Carving Station lets you choose from Montreal meat, corned beef, pastrami, etc., while the Grill Station servers prepare juicy skewers and wraps in front of guests.

If you’re looking for a one-stop shop for venue and catering, check out their six partner venues. These include Chabad, The Terrace, and Paramount, just to name a few.

Sadly, we heard that the owner was quite rude to a guest—but to be fair, this seems to be an isolated event.

Pros

  • Wide range of kosher catering options
  • Offers two live kosher catering stations
  • Has six partner venues

Cons

  • Reports of a rude owner
