After a long week at work, my friends and I were brainstorming ways to unwind and have some fun. Ideas were flying around when I said, “Hey guys, how about a karaoke bar?”
They were skeptical at first, but as a KTV aficionado, I convinced them to give it a shot.
Soon, we were singing our hearts out, laughing (and sometimes crying?) over drinks and bar food. It turned into an epic night!
I was thrilled to turn my friends into karaoke lovers, and now I’m hoping to do the same for you—don’t be shy and visit the best KTV/karaoke spots in Toronto.
How much does karaoke cost in Toronto?
The cost of karaoke in Toronto can vary widely depending on the venue and the day of the week. On average, you can expect to pay around $20 to $40 per hour for a private room, with weekends typically being more expensive than weekdays.
Additional costs may include food and drinks, which can add to your bill. Some places also charge per person, so the size of your group can affect the total price.
How We Chose the Best KTV/Karaoke Spots in Toronto
1. Bar+ Karaoke Lounge
Bar+ Karaoke Lounge offers—you guessed it!—a bar plus karaoke, and they really nailed both aspects. We think they’re ideal for private parties like birthdays and company events.
Speaking of private parties, they offer small to large private rooms that can seat up to 30 people. Their rooms are also super stylish, with comfy leather seating, high-quality sound equipment, and wireless microphones.
The drink menu was impressive, too. They serve a wide range of cocktails, shooters, martinis, coolers, and beer—they even offered bottle service right in our room!
In terms of music, they have an enormous selection of music in English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai.
One downside is due to its popularity, you need to book rooms 3 to 4 weeks in advance. But trust me, it’s totally worth the wait!
Pros
- Large rooms can seat up to 30
- Offers small to large private rooms
- Stylish rooms with quality equipment
- Impressive range of drinks
- Offers bottle service
- Wide selection of music
Cons
- Should book 3 to 4 weeks in advance
Best place I’ve found in Toronto BY FAR

One of my favorite karaoke spots in Toronto
“I’ve been coming to this karaoke for well over 10 years. It’s one of my favorite karaoke spots in Toronto for a few reasons: user experience (you use a tablet device to queue your songs; universally recgonized system so its easy to use), atmosphere is fun and I’ve never had an issue with people’s behavior considering ppl are usually intoxicated passed a certain time. The bathrooms have their good and their bad days lol. The staff are attentive everytime I’ve visited and I’ve seen a number of staff here over the years. If you’re interested in trying Karaoke, you need to visit Bar+”

2. The K Karaoke
The K Karaoke in the basement is definitely worth checking out. One of the coolest features is their UV microphone sanitizing machines—it’s a nice touch, especially nowadays.
We also love that booking online is super easy; they have a simple system where you can reserve a 1-hour slot from Monday to Thursday. On weekends, you need to book at least two hours.
Their song selection is extensive, covering all genres and eras. They use YouTube for song selection, so you’ll definitely find your favorites.
As for the munchies, their food is surprisingly delicious—the bulgogi, clam chowder, croquet bites, and takoyaki are must-tries. And their cocktails are top-notch.
The place might look like a hole-in-the-wall dive, but it’s clean, including the washrooms, which is always a plus.
The rooms are on the smaller side, though. Their medium-sized rooms are equivalent to small rooms in other places, and their large rooms max out at about 15 people.
Pros
- UV microphone sanitizing machines
- Easy online booking
- Uses YouTube for song selection
- Delicious food and cocktails
- Clean washrooms
Cons
- A bit cramped
Best karaoke place we’ve been to
“The best karaoke place we’ve been to because the area and sound of the karaoke is the best and we can sing better than the karaoke place beside us (in comparison). The place is very clean and smells good which you usually won’t find on a karaoke room. Everything was straightforward in terms of price and liquor so definitely coming back.”

The atmosphere is lively yet cozy, perfect for a fun night out with friends or a solo sing-along session. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making sure you have everything you need for a memorable karaoke experience.”

3. Echo Karaoke On Bloor
A family-owned business in Koreatown, Echo Karaoke On Bloor’s goal is to welcome fun-loving customers of all genders and ages.
We really like their Korean-style private karaoke, where people can belt out Russian, Filipino, English, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and of course, Korean songs.
But if you’re looking for Spanish and Bollywood songs, then book Room 13—their licensed Grandstage room.
Unlike other karaoke bars that have an age requirement, they have a 3rd floor that accepts all ages and does not allow alcohol since it’s unlicensed.
We’re also happy that you can book in advance without a deposit, except for their largest licensed room.
Sadly, they do not permit outside food, unlike other karaoke bars that accept food deliveries. But, if you have the munchies, you can order classic pub fare like wings and fries, or go to the Korean BBQ restaurant on the ground floor.
Note that this is a cash-only spot, but onsite ATMs are available.
Pros
- Korean-style private karaoke
- Wide selection of Asian and English songs
- Room 13 offers Spanish and Bollywood songs
- Their 3rd floor accepts all ages
- No deposit required except for the largest room
Cons
- No outside food
- Cash-only place

4. Forever Karaoke
Forever Karaoke is another cool KTV spot in the city.
While other karaoke bars charge at least a $20 minimum spend, there’s none of that here—you only need to shell out the flat room rate.
They have an easy online booking system, but surprisingly walk-ins are also accepted.
Speaking of rooms, they can host up to 35 people, with the option of combining multiple rooms if you’re having a big party! This is great since others have a limit of 15 to 30 max.
As for the actual rooms, we love that the AC is turned up high, especially during summer months. Ordering food and drinks is also super easy to do using their QR code system.
For those planning to have an extra long singing session, we recommend double slot weekend bookings because it comes with $100 in drink credits!
Unfortunately, those below 19 are not allowed on the premises.
Pros
- No minimum spend
- Easy online booking system
- Accepts walk-ins
- Can host up to 35 people or more if combining two rooms
- Has ACs and a QR code ordering system
- Double slots on weekends come with $100 drink credits
Cons
- 19+ only

5. Penny’s
Penny’s is a cozy dive bar with a classy twist, boasting a striking art deco sign outside and a cool Sharpie mural inside that adds character.
Their food menu changes often, featuring tasty bites like pork sliders, tuna salad lettuce wraps, and samosas. And when it comes to drinks, they have a solid selection of Ontario craft brews on tap, as well as classic cocktails.
More importantly, the back area of Penny’s transforms into a stage for musical dreams to come alive! Karaoke is the heart and soul of the place, where anyone can step up and belt out their favorite tunes from a vast song selection.
Sure, there might be a bit of a wait to get your turn on the stage, but once you’re up there, it’s all worth it. Penny’s also hosts DJs and bands occasionally.
Just keep in mind, there are no private rooms here, so be ready to share your vocal talents with the crowd!
Pros
- Serves food and drinks
- Has a full bar
- Known for karaoke in the back area
- Can sing with DJs and bands
Cons
- Might have to wait a bit for your turn
- No private karaoke rooms
