When it comes to cleanliness, we can’t find a single flaw with Fuzz Wax Bar. The place is incredibly tidy (really – you have to see it to get just how tidy it is) plus they have strict policies in place to ensure customer safety.
What we liked best is how their spot felt like a first-class boutique. In the daytime and with a ton of sunlight coming into the place, the ambience is pretty nice.
What you might have trouble with is their customer service. Now, they’re not the worst in this field, really, but we heard enough complaints to do first-hand checking ourselves.
To be fair, it naturally feels welcoming the moment you walk inside. Just take note that it may not be as stellar as some would prefer from a place that looks as though they’re ready to wait on you hand and foot.
To make up for this slight drawback, they’re at least among the quickest services in the city. Plus, all the clients we’ve spoken with were very satisfied with the waxing experience too and the result.
On the other hand, the fast experience may actually come across as “rushed”, so do take note of that. In our opinion though, it doesn’t feel like that at all – it feels more like an in-and-out experience, giving you more flexibility with your time.
Prices are very affordable too across all types of waxing areas. But if you want to save more, you may want to look into their membership program where you can save $2 to $15 per service.

Like most waxing salons, Aroma Waxing Clinic is also very tidy and bright. The only difference is that this one feels more like a traditional clinic… which is not a bad thing, but it can change the atmosphere a bit.
The good thing is that the waxing areas are extremely private with separate rooms. This makes the service a lot more discreet which is a plus in our book.
Customer service is also among their biggest advantages as we found many favorable comments. The staff is friendly and there’s absolutely no waiting time (at least during the times we checked).
If we could describe their aestheticians in the best way we can, they’re just ultra-sweet and highly experienced in their craft. Many customers even shared that the experience was surprisingly fun because of how approachable everyone is.
Unfortunately, the result of the services isn’t always up to par with their customer service. We found a few customers who felt that the waxing was poorly done and that it felt a bit impersonal.
On the positive side, these are just a few negative sentiments versus the hundred ones in our poll that said great things about them. And if a lot of people are satisfied, then we’re pretty happy too.
As a final note, no one has complained about the costs yet – and for good reason, as they price things fairly. Plus, they offer these unlimited wax cards where you can get unlimited waxing in a year (you can save a lot with them if you wax regularly).

As soon as you walk in, you will notice the place looks and smells great! The front desk staff was so polite. This was my first experience with a Brazilian wax and Breanne was super efficient and made me feel comfortable! I went to Aroma Wellness for my first Brazilian today and was met by friendly staff and the most wonderful orange scent! Lisa made me feel like I’d been visiting her and getting this treatment for years. She’s gentle, fun, and pragmatic in her approach to what might have been slightly embarrassing. Evexia Spa has all the basics that you want in a waxing salon. Their place is incredibly clean, with approachable staff welcoming you through the doors.
The location is indeed beautiful, although we just felt that the atmosphere is kind of “outdated” compared to others. Nonetheless, their area is spotless and does have that familiar, professional feel to it.
As per the quality of the service, the aestheticians were nothing short of incredible. They were fast, efficient, and made people comfortable throughout the entire process.
Many clients were also happy to note that they respond promptly to customer queries. Plus, they can even fit you in at the last minute… given that they have the space, of course.
Overall, the customers are generally satisfied with the results of their waxing experience. Some new customers pledged to continue using their service, while long-term ones have noticed significant improvements over the years.
Still, there are bad sides to service quality that we also noted. For instance, some customers emphasized that they didn’t like the techniques used on them.
The prices are nothing too special as they’re also affordable based on the city’s average. We only wish we could have seen rewards programs and memberships for potential savings, but other than that, all is good.

More than effective
Simply put, Rosie is the best. I called to originally request one service and after consultation she suggested another. As a result, I have been going to her establishment since mid July and the results of her bleaching have been phenomenal. She has single handedly reversed over decades of darker skin due to shaving. Prayosha Threading & Wax Bar is a hidden gem in the treasure chest that is downtown Toronto. The place is absolutely clean with zero clutter in the way and has a nice smell to it too (always a good thing!).
One of the things we liked here is how spacious the area is, giving it a studio feel. Most spas do tend to feel a bit cramped so this is a plus for us.
Unfortunately, we took note of some practices that may be considered unhygienic. For instance, there were reports of double dipping in the wax pot, which runs the risk of getting bacteria and infections.
But it isn’t a recurring issue with this spa. We could only find a few isolated incidents, so we’re not too seriously concerned at the moment – though we definitely do think the spa needs to hire or train people better.
In line with that, what you may want to look out for is customer service. We were more surprised by the fact some people had a bad experience compared to the general feedback of past customers.
Yet in terms of service quality, we found many exceptional results. Not only are the customers generally happy with the results but they’re also happy with the professional and friendly services.
Another thing worth noting is that they work relatively fast, often finishing within 20 to 45 minutes. Knowing this, we reckon they’re a great shop to be in for some quick, emergency waxing.
Prices are fantastic and pretty similar to other waxing spas in the city. Additionally, they have special offers in place that can chop down the costs of your services by up to 20%.
