I used to have mild scoliosis as a kid, which made my posture look a bit wonky. I’m grateful my parents got it treated before it could develop into something more severe.
As soon as they noticed something was off, they brought me to a physician who recommended that I get a custom-fitted brace. It may not have completely straightened my back, but they say it would’ve likely resulted in lifelong chronic pain if left untreated.
The more I think about it, I’m really lucky to be living in Toronto — a city full of amazing spine specialists who have helped plenty of people with spinal fractures, deformities, and discomfort.
How much do spine specialists charge in Toronto?
In Toronto, spine specialists can charge anywhere from $80 to upwards of $75,000 per visit. The final rate will depend on the expertise of your chosen specialist, the services you need, and the complexity of your treatment.
Appointment costs usually fall below $1,000. Meanwhile, procedures, such as surgeries and spinal fusions, will fetch at least $15,000.
1. Advanced Spine Centre

Business Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Wednesday – 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Friday – 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Sunday – Closed
Advanced Spine Centre fully understands that every spinal case is unique. This is why their clinic is multi-disciplinary, offering chiropractic, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and massage services.
To learn which one suits you best, you’ll be prescribed a personalized treatment plan during a complimentary consultation. Most of the first few sessions involve manual techniques like manipulation, which have produced immediate relief for many.
Once they see enough improvement, they’ll adjust your care strategy into something more cost-effective. Some patients were even told to reduce appointments and simply do exercises at home, showing tremendous honesty on their part.
The main complaint we’ve seen is that, from time to time, their staff forgets to give patients a call bell during procedures. When this happens, clients are unable to tell the specialist if they feel any discomfort.
Other than that, we find their team very competent. Everyone agrees that the clinic runs smoothly and is always well-maintained.

I felt very well taken care of
“This is my third Chariopracter clinic I have visited and I was amazed by their excellent service. Dr Asgary is very patient, thorough and professional. He checked and explained everything in a very easy way to understand. I was expecting to hear a routine follow up appointment/referral but instead Dr Asgary recommended me to do exercises at home even though the center has physiotherapy, massage and a workout section. I appreciate his honesty and the valuable remedies he provided which I found helpful. I had an amazing experience with the massage therapist too and I felt very well taken care of.”

Patients of all ages have come to The Orthopaedic Therapy Clinic for help with managing spine-related diseases and injuries. The facility typically prescribes a mix of physiotherapy, massage therapy, and kinesiology, depending on the severity of your case.
Their practitioners will start your plan with an in-depth diagnosis leading to a targeted program focused on function restoration. During this time, they exhaustively educate clients on their conditions and what to do to optimize recovery.
From there, they’ll move on to treatments like manual therapies, ultrasound currents, and movement retraining.
We love that they also offer virtual appointments for minor concerns like reviewing exercises or asking for workout alterations. Other customers have also asked for guidance on how to navigate pain by adjusting how they do daily tasks.
But as great as this sounds, there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to schedule right away. There have been reports of their staff being disorganized in providing their physicians’ availabilities.
Amazing experience with them
“Amazing experience with Maureen Dwight. I’ve had back pain and been told I have scoliosis for years, Maureen was able to pinpoint the exact curvature I have, extremity of it, and which muscles to work on to ensure the curve doesn’t worsen. I will be continuing my physio appointments here with Maureen, along with Fabiana. Very happy with my first visit!”

They are extremely knowledgeable, evidence-based clinicians
“This is a fabulous physio clinic. I’ve worked with birth Maureen and Tiffany and both are fabulous. They are extremely knowledgeable, evidence based clinicians. Their assessments and treatment plans were both grounded in science, tailored to my needs, and highly effective. I’ve benefited from both hands-on care, mostly provided by Tiffany, including acupuncture and exercise prescribed by both Maureen and Tiffany. The front desk is also highly professional and efficient. They are helpful in booking appointments, taking payments, and ensuring you have all the documentation necessary to provide to supplementary health insurance plans. I highly recommend this clinic for all your physiotherapy needs.”

3. Afiya Spine & Pain Institute

Address: 15 Wellesley St W Unit 301
Phone: +1 416 413 7999
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Saturday to Sunday – Closed
Afiya Spine & Pain Institute is one of the best facilities in Toronto for those suffering from chronic pain. Within hours of a referral, they can provide expedited access to rapid pain assessments, day-of appointments, and treatment options.
For spine issues, some of their procedures would be steroid injections, radiofrequency, kyphoplasty, and PRP therapy. These admittedly sound intimidating, but we can guarantee that they’re mostly minimally invasive.
Something we also appreciate about this place is that it provides resources that prioritize emotional and psychological well-being. If ignored, these can amplify aches and make it harder for patients to recover.
It’s a plus that every staff member you’ll interact with makes an effort to be pleasant and welcoming. Their team is very reassuring, helping patients maintain a positive outlook.
Their only flaw is that they’re not very punctual. Several of their physicians start sessions late, even if people booked appointments ahead of time.
They really care about their patients
“Came here with a friend to help them and cam back for myself. I have to say that Dr. Pham is the best. He gets to the point and explains solutions in a understanding manner and really cares about his patients. If you are suffering from any pain I would strongly recommend getting a referral from your doctor to be seen here.”

Hands down the best clinic in the city
“Hands down the best clinic in the city! We are patients of Dr. Surgent and she is truly exceptional—caring, supportive, and completely judgment-free. I always feel my family is safe and well taken care of under her care. The nurses and reception staff like Sabrina are also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel comfortable. On top of that, the clinic is spotless and very well maintained—a huge plus for me since I’m extremely particular about cleanliness. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone—you’ll be in the best hands here!”

ChiroPath Spine & Posture Centre is Toronto’s go-to modern chiropractic clinic. Their services are focused on using advanced techniques to correct spinal misalignment.
From the moment you enter, you’ll notice that the place has a friendly and non-judgmental vibe. Based on what we’ve heard, we get the impression that the practitioners really listen and explain their methodologies in an easily digestible way.
It’ll be up to them to give you an individualized care strategy that involves a series of adjustments and an exercise program that’ll remodel your spine.
Unfortunately, they can be quite pushy with getting you to commit to this treatment plan. There were even clients who felt pressured to sign, despite only coming in for a consultation.
But on the bright side, you can rest assured that the roadmap is going to produce results. So many customers swear by this place after seeing significant improvement in their tension and stance in about 1 to 2 months.
Within a month, I started to notice some improvement
“The staff are super nice and truly care, and are not afraid to strike up a friendly conversation. I first started coming to resolve my years of bad posture and within a month I started to notice some decent improvements. If you are looking to fix your postural issues this place can and absolutely will help with that.”

Absolutely hands down worth it
“A friend knew I was looking for a really good Chiropractic office so recommended Chiropath. I’ve had good people helping me, but Chiropath was next level – great! From beginning until end of the treatment I really felt like everyone was invested in my mobility and physical health. There was no judgment as to the state my body is in – yes it’s a hot mess – instead there was laughter and lightness. They incorporated 3 different treatments in one – so even though it was more expensive than I was used to – absolutely hands down worth it!”

5. Interventional Pain & Spine Specialists of Canada

Address: Alpha Healthcare, 1262 Don Mills Rd #62
Phone: +1 416 335 7474
Business Hours:
- Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday to Sunday – Closed
The Interventional Pain & Spine Specialists of Canada is equipped with a state-of-the-art facility that pioneered a new way to address pain in Canada. Even now, their team only uses the latest technology in all of their procedures.
Unlike other clinics, their care plan is mostly rooted in alternatives to surgery, non-opioid medications, and physical therapy. Their interventions operate using real-time X-rays and ultrasounds to guarantee safety and accuracy.
A detail that caught our eye was that most clients said they barely felt any pain. Apart from having gentle hands, the practitioners consistently make the effort to check if customers are comfortable.
With their help, around 80% of their patients saw improvement after 1 or 2 visits. Conditions they’ve treated include disc herniations, arthritis, nerve pain, and spinal stenosis.
Sadly, you’ll have to overlook some things to get to this point — specifically, the front desk. We’ve heard complaints about how reception comes off as rude.
To say it’s been life-changing is an understatement
“A wonderful experience every time!!! The staff and doctors are very friendly and helpful!!!!! The pain relief is amazing!!!!! I never thought I’d be able to do so many of the things I am doing now, again!!!!! The pain was debilitating… I couldn’t even cook pasta anymore!!!!! Now, I’m able to work again, and take care of my family!!!!!! To say it’s been life-changing is an understatement!”
