“When I got to Bellwood I was nearly dead. I had been to other treatment centres before, but I always relapsed and couldn’t maintain my recovery. Broken and bruised, I was dropped off at Bellwood on November 29, 2021, my family wanted nothing to do with me and this was my final attempt at turning my life around. It took me 12 days to detox, and it was the most painful experience of my life. But I could not have done it without the exceptional staff at Bellwood. I felt safe and cared for, I knew that they weren’t going to let me die. The entire medical staff from the doctors to the nurses to the support staff.. I could not have done this without them. Once I was stable enough to leave detox, I was able to participate and start the programming part of my treatment. The facilitators, the topics, and my personal counsellor were all outstanding. The food was amazing, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed all of the exercise and ravine walks. “Addiction Rehab Toronto is hands down the best treatment center I have ever been to and I’ve been to more then a few. They’re over staffed witch is great. Their is always someone to speak to at any time of the day or night. The groups are very educational and well organized. All the staff cares and keeps you on the right path to better your life. ART doesn’t just teach you how to stop using drugs they teach you how to change your way of thinking and how to live a fullfilled life. I never wanted to be part of a 12 step fellowship in the past and I can happily say ART has changed my mind. ART doesn’t push 12 step on you, if you want to do it they will help guide you you and offer everything you need to begin your journey. The food is amazing. The facility is very clean with lots of amenities and actives for you and your newly met friends to pass the time when your not working on your recovery. ART also offers 3 sober living houses for your transition back in to the world, witch I strongly recommend. This also took a lot of stress off me while I was their because I did not need to to be seeking a transition/sober home else where. Do not get fooled by flashy advertisements of other treatments centers. ART cares and works, they have helped me in ways that I could have never imagined and I am so great full to be sober and living in one of their sober houses today. Thank you for saving my life!!!”
