A coworker of mine just got back from what was supposed to be a dreamy bed and breakfast weekend with her husband. Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as planned.
Her room was noisy, the breakfast was bland, and the “cozy atmosphere” was more cramped than charming. Needless to say, she was pretty disappointed because they were hoping for a romantic escape.
It got me thinking—choosing the right bed and breakfast in Toronto can really make or break your getaway.
That’s why we took the time to round up some of the best bed and breakfasts in Toronto—places where you can actually kick back, relax, and enjoy the city in comfort and style. Here are our top picks!
How much does staying in a bed and breakfast cost in Toronto?
On average, the cost of staying at a bed and breakfast in Toronto is around $100 to $250 per night. Budget-friendly options are available for around $100-$150, while more luxurious or boutique B&Bs might range from $200 and up.
Prices may be higher during peak tourist seasons.
1. The Jane Toronto

The Jane Toronto is a charming bed and breakfast situated near the iconic Casa Loma. The property, built in 1906, has been beautifully restored to provide a home-like atmosphere for guests.
The extensive luxury renovations really make it stand out. Every room is equipped with an en suite marble bathroom, flat-screen TV, and reliable WiFi—everything you need for a relaxing (and connected!) stay.
Three of the rooms come with gas fireplaces, which add a cozy, upscale feel. The beds are also super comfortable, and the blackout curtains provide a restful night’s sleep.
It even has a lovely garden and a shared lounge for guests to relax in.
We also love their delicious continental breakfast served each morning, featuring a charming charcuterie-style selection.
While the property doesn’t allow pets and it’s also a tad pricey, it more than makes up for it with its peaceful and cozy ambiance.
The entire experience was lovely
“Needed a place for a quick weekend trip and so glad we found this place. The entire experience was lovely. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but close enough to walk or use public transport anywhere in the city. Our hosts were very friendly and I very much enjoyed learning about the history of this home! I hope to stay here again or visit their other property – The Jane Miami!”

2. By The Park Bed & Breakfast

By The Park Bed & Breakfast has been offering travelers a warm and inviting stay since 2005. Located near Humber Bay Arch Bridge, it’s open year-round, providing a cozy setting that feels like a fancier version of your home.
You can choose their Loft Suite—a spacious flat that offers a private conservatory sitting area overlooking a park. It has a king-size bed, along with hardwood and marble flooring, plus an ensuite bathroom with an air tub.
For a slightly smaller but equally charming option, the Victorian Suite features a queen-size mahogany canopy bed and hand-made Persian rugs.
We like that they’re environmentally friendly—phosphate-free detergents, energy-efficient lighting, and chemical-free gardens. They even have low-flush toilets!
As for breakfast, they offer a home-cooked spread with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.
Note, however, that some guests told us that the walls can be a bit thin, so you might hear some noise from neighboring rooms.

Beverley Place is a boutique bed and breakfast that feels both homey and elegant. This quaint, LGBTQ-positive spot is situated in two beautifully restored 1887 Victorian houses.
We love its convenient location—just steps from a streetcar stop and only two short blocks from a subway station.
The decor here is stunning to boot. From sparkly chandeliers to carved wood window frames, the space is filled with rich, upholstered furniture, wall art, and vintage lamps. For the musically inclined, there are two grand pianos available for guests to use.

Breakfast is fresh and tasty
“Beautiful, quiet, Victoria-style room. I luckily moved in one of the biggest room in the B&B, which is well-furnished and warmhearted. The whole structure is reasonable, and there are approximately 4 rooms on one floor, so it’s a really quiet and relaxed place for those who first come to Toronto. And, the breakfast is fresh and tasty as well. I did have a wonderful experience when staying in that house!”
