A buddy of mine, who I haven’t seen in a while, caught me off guard when he flashed me a smile yesterday—perfectly straight, pearly whites, no gaps, no metal. Before, he used to have a little zigzag situation going on.
I had to ask, “Dude, where did you get that glow-up?” And he hit me with the name of his orthodontist in Toronto.
Let’s be real—orthodontists are the secret to killer smiles. They take wonky, crooked teeth and turn them into Hollywood-level beams.
To grab a grin that’s pure Canadian charm (like Ryan Reynolds or Rachel McAdams!), here are some of the best orthodontists in Toronto!
How much does orthodontic work cost in Toronto?
Orthodontic work in Toronto typically costs between $3,000 and $10,000, depending on the treatment type and complexity. Traditional metal braces range from $3,000 to $7,000, while Invisalign can cost between $4,000 and $9,000.
More complex cases, like jaw realignment or lingual braces, tend to be on the higher end. Some insurance plans cover part of the cost, and many orthodontists offer payment plans to make it more manageable.
1. Leaside Orthodontic Centre

Leaside Orthodontic Centre is run by Dr. Emel Arat, a certified orthodontist whose mission is simple—helping patients achieve stunning smiles.
For kids, she offers early orthodontic treatment, also known as Phase 1, which helps guide permanent teeth into place. Basically, if your child’s teeth are coming in a little wonky, this can help prevent bite issues and overcrowding.
Teenagers get a lot of focus too. Since their jaw is still developing, she recommends braces or aligners to fix bite issues and create a balanced, natural-looking smile.
And of course, adults aren’t left out! Her clinic offers clear aligners, ceramic braces, and even inside braces that are practically invisible.
If cost has been holding you back, it’s worth asking about their financing options.
Note that while Dr. Arat seems highly skilled and dedicated, we heard a few reports about her rude assistant.
Dr. Arat is an exceptional orthodontist
“Dr. Arat is an exceptional orthodontist, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She is knowledgeable, genuine, and truly cares about her patients. From the beginning to the end of my treatment, Dr. Arat and her amazing team went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience. The clinic atmosphere is wonderful – I was always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome every visit. Their professionalism and kindness remained consistent throughout my entire journey. I am absolutely thrilled with my teeth and couldn’t be happier with the results! If you are looking for orthodontic care, Leaside Orthodontic Centre is an outstanding choice. Their expertise, dedication, and exceptional service truly set them apart. Thank you, Dr. Arat, for everything!”

2. Forest Hill Orthodontics

Forest Hill Orthodontics has been creating beautiful smiles in Toronto for over 60 years. That’s a lot of straightened teeth over the decades!
The clinic is led by Dr. Bruno Vendittelli, who’s a big deal in the Invisalign world. In fact, he’s a recipient of The Invisalign Premier Provider Award.
Speaking of which, his clinic first uses an iTero 3D scanner to take a digital scan of your teeth. Once scanned, your info is uploaded to Align Technology’s software to create a customized Invisalign plan.
For those who prefer braces, they offer self-ligating ones, which are a cleaner and more hygienic option compared to traditional braces.
Sometimes, they can even place your braces on the same day as your initial appointment, saving you an extra trip.
On the financial side, they offer interest-free payment plans.
One thing to be aware of—we heard reports of aggressive drilling during treatment.
Dr Vendittelli and his team are phenomenal
“Dr Vendittelli and his team are phenomenal. I have been a patient for many years. I am 100% satisfied with my Invisalign experience and the few times I have returned for check ups since my work was done, I have been treated like a VIP. There is no other place to get orthodontic work done that will even come close. And I am speaking from experience with other orthodontists as well!”

Wonderful with patients, especially kids
“My kids have been going to FHO for 14 years and highly recommend them. Today, I started treatment for my second child and remarked to Dr Hendler how great their service is. They genuinely care about their patients and are wonderful with patients, especially kids.”

3. Davis Orthodontics

Davis Orthodontics is owned by Dr. Allan Davis, who served as president of the Toronto Orthodontics Club and the York Region Dental Society. No wonder they claim to have treated more Invisalign patients than any other practice in Ontario!
If Invisalign isn’t your thing, they also offer metal and ceramic braces. And no matter which treatment you go with, you can take advantage of their payment plans.
Another highlight is their multilingual staff—they speak over a dozen languages, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Farsi, Urdu, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and French.
Plus, their doctors are on-call 24/7 for orthodontic emergencies.
The treatment begins with a complimentary consultation; you can even choose between an in-office visit or a free virtual exam.
On the other hand, watch out for unaccommodating orthodontists. While this might not be everyone’s experience, it’s something to keep in mind.
David Orthodontics is the best!!!
“David Orthodontics is the best!!! Everyone is so friendly and kind. As well, very very accommodating!!! I had and still have the best experience everytime I come!!”

Dr. G, has been incredibly patient, understanding and kind! She gave me numerous options for treatment, and has been so informative. Gina, is so meticulous, fast, and friendly. I always specifically ask to be with Gina, but I know I could trust anyone in the office. I cant say enough good things about this clinic! There is no doubt in my mind, once my treatment is done. I will be leaving with a huge incredible smile.”

4. Dental Arts

Dental Arts is helmed by Dr. Jeremy Kurtz, an Invisalign Diamond Plus Provider, who has completed over 4,000 Invisalign cases. He offers a free video consultation, which is great if you want to see your options before committing.
Once you’re in, his clinic uses the iTero Scanner to take a precise digital scan of your teeth, so your custom-fitted Invisalign aligners are designed for a perfect fit.
If you’re in a hurry to get your dream smile, we recommend trying their AcceleDent, a technology that helps speed up your treatment. It’s a mouthpiece you wear for 20 minutes a day to help your teeth move faster.
Of course, if clear aligners aren’t your thing, they also offer traditional braces
On the financial side, they make things manageable by working with Dental Card, PayBright, and Crelogix.
However, we heard about some rude and unprofessional staff.
Faster and less expensive than other Invisalign providers
“I was waiting to write this review until my treatment was complete and now that it is I can confidently say that Dental Arts, Dr. Kurtz and the entire staff deserve 5 stars. The treatment was faster and less expensive than all of the other Toronto Invisalign providers I consulted with before starting. The entire staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I am very satisfied with my results. Price, speed, staff, results all 5/5!!”

Finished a month ahead of schedule, and I love my results
“Very happy with my experience doing Invisalign with Dr Kurtz. The process was smooth and efficient. We finished a month ahead of schedule and I love my results. Dr Kurtz takes his time reviewing your progress in your check ups and aims for perfection. I’m so happy I chose Dental Arts and definitely recommend.”

5. Dr. James Noble

Dr. James Noble is definitely a major player in the orthodontics scene. He’s a former president of the Toronto Orthodontic Club and even reviews research for dental and orthodontic journals—so yeah, he knows his stuff.
His clinic offers a wide range of braces—think traditional, fun-colored, ceramic, and invisible.
But if you’re more into the clear aligner route, they also offer Clear Aligners, and you can start with a free consultation to see if you’re a good candidate.
Emergencies happen, and if you ever have one outside office hours that’s causing pain, his office provides guidance on who to contact for help.
Financially, we like that they try to keep things flexible. They offer interest-free in-office payment plans (handled directly by them, not a third party) and also accept Care Credit.
However, we heard reports of abrupt appointment cancellations—very frustrating, especially if you’ve already planned your schedule around your visit.
Dr. Noble and his staff are amazing with children
“Love love love this place!! Our daughter has been receiving orthodontic care for 3 years now. Her teeth are really coming along! We are impressed! The front desk staff are SO friendly and so accommodating! Dr. Noble and his staff are amazing with children. Dr. Noble will meet with parents to let them know how the progression is coming in a very friendly and easy to understand way. I highly recommend them!”
