As a self-proclaimed night owl (and certified foodie), I’ve scoured the city to compile a list of the best late-night eats Toronto has to offer. So grab your most forgiving sweatpants because here are the best late-night eats in Toronto!

Sneaky Dee’s on Bathurst and College is a dive bar open until 3 AM daily, making it the perfect spot for satisfying those post-pub cravings.

The walls are plastered with graffiti and the endless stream of punk shows screams “Not your average restaurant.” We also heard that some of Canada’s biggest indie bands like Arcade Fire actually got their start here—pretty cool, right?

Now, onto the important stuff: the food! We recommend their legendary King’s Crown platter, fully loaded with everything delicious (think: nachos, cheese, the works). It was epic—and enough to feed a small army.

They’ve also got giant burritos and filling all-day breakfast options. And the drinks? Classic bar fare with beers on tap, bottled options, and standard cocktails.

Hemingway’s Restaurant and Bar is a Kiwi-owned Toronto institution that has been around for decades, and it’s not hard to see why.

The place is decked out with New Zealand road signs and knick-knacks, but they’re actually famous for their patio of various levels, open year-round. It’s covered and heated in the winter, and misted in the summer, and the upper patio even has its own bar!

We love their menu full of global comfort classics, perfect for late-night cravings. We recommend their nachos—a massive offering loaded with all the good stuff: melted cheese, guac, veggies, salsa, and sour cream.

Another must-try is their New Zealand lamb burger—juicy, ground lamb on a toasted bun with fresh fixings, plus goat cheese and mint jelly for a flavor twist. As for drinks, choose from their seasonal selections on tap and craft beers.

Frans Restaurant

Hours: Mon-Sun: Open 24 hours

Fran’s Restaurant is a Toronto institution serving up home-style cooking 24/7. This spot is so legendary that they have over 50 locations across Canada!

The atmosphere is pure diner vibes; comfy booths, friendly staff, and a menu that reads like a warm hug.  And speaking of the menu, it’s all about classic comfort food—we’re talking juicy burgers, fluffy omelets, and mountains of fries.

If you’re feeling like a champion, order the crowd-favorite Fran’s Big Breakfast: two eggs any style, two sausages, two pancakes, bacon, and a pile of home fries. And veggie lovers should try the Rainbow Benedict packed with fresh veggies and hollandaise.

Drinks are classic diner fare as well—coffee for that late-night pick-me-up. You could also go for their creamy Coke float if you’re looking for something a little sweeter (and less likely to keep you wide awake).

Sometimes, in the wee hours of the morning, you just crave a good ol’ greasy burger, and that’s where Apache Burgers comes in. This retro gem is open till 2 or 3 AM daily, making it the perfect pitstop after a night out or a long second shift.

The atmosphere isn’t exactly white tablecloths, but that’s part of the charm. Think 1960s diner vibes with red vinyl booths and, wait for it, mosaics of Marilyn Monroe on the walls (perfect Insta moment, obvs).

We love that everything is made fresh right in front of you. Their cheeseburger is a juicy, messy masterpiece—get the Apache burger with bacon; you won’t regret it!

And don’t forget the sides—their onion rings are legendary with a fluffy batter and a perfect crunch, while their hand-cut fries hit the spot every time.

Open 24 hours, 7 West Cafe is a three-level haven that has been serving up delicious comfort food for 30 years. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, with a mix of comfy booths and tables, and there’s even a rooftop patio for those warmer nights.

The first floor is your true 24/7 zone, perfect for late-night cravings.  But the second floor joins the party from 3 PM to 4 AM, offering extra space to unwind.

As for the food, our fave is their “All the Time Breakfast”—perfectly scrambled eggs, crispy bacon (or sausage/ham if you prefer), fluffy toast, and a mountain of home fries.  Definitely classic comfort food done right.

If you’re feeling fancy, head upstairs and try their French Martini – it’s a vodka and pineapple concoction with a touch of Chambord and a fun dusting of chocolate powder.  Retro and delicious!

The Lakeview Diner

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thelakeviewdiner/

Address: 1132 Dundas St W

Hours: Mon – Sun: Open 24 hours

Contact: (416) 850-8886

The Lakeview Diner, open 24 hours, is all about capturing the true essence of a diner, and we think they nailed it. The atmosphere alone is pure nostalgia—red vinyl booths, checkered floors, and friendly staff.

Of course, the menu is the greatest hit of diner fare—juicy burgers, fluffy omelets, and enough milkshake flavors to make your head spin.

If you’re craving a late-night sugar rush, go for their Pancake Stack, a mountain of fluffy pancakes piled high with fresh berries, creamy mascarpone cheese, and a dusting of icing sugar. Drown it all in maple syrup for a guaranteed sugar coma!

But they’ve got savory options too—their “Classic Banquet” burger is a trip down memory lane; a juicy patty stacked with melted cheddar, red onions, and pickles on a toasted brioche bun. Bonus points: you can swap out the patty for a veggie option.

The Burger’s Priest

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theburgerspriest/

Address: 1120 Queen St W

Hours:

  • Mon – Wed, Sun: 10 AM – 12 AM
  • Thursday: 10 AM – 3 AM
  • Fri – Sat: 10 AM – 4 AM

Contact: (647) 478-6915

The Burger’s Priest is a burger joint with a surprisingly religious origin story (seriously, the founder almost became a priest!). Let’s just say they found their true calling in between buns.

These burgers are the real deal—fresh, juicy, and made with 100% Canadian beef.  They don’t mess around with frozen patties or mystery ingredients here, just pure, delicious goodness.

We think their California Classic is a winner: the beef was cooked perfectly medium, practically melting in my mouth with every bite. The toppings were simple but perfect, with just the right amount of flavor and crunch.

And don’t even get me started on the shakes. Their vanilla chocolate is pure creamy bliss—thick, rich, and the perfect way to end a perfect burger experience.

Tut’s Egyptian Street Food

Website: https://www.tutsrestaurant.ca/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tuts.to

Address: 567 King St W

Hours:

  • Mon – Wed, Sun: 11 AM – 2 AM
  • Thursday: 11 AM – 3 AM
  • Fri – Sat: 11 AM – 4 AM

Contact: (416) 551-1050

Toronto’s got your standard late-night fare: pizza, burgers, greasy spoon delights, but sometimes you crave something a little different. That’s where Tut’s Egyptian Street Food steps in, offering a taste of Cairo right here in the city!

Forget your typical hot dog stand, Tut’s offers delicious wraps filled with unique Egyptian flavors. Try their soguk—a grilled beef sausage sandwich with caramelized onions, sumac (a tangy spice), and a killer mustard mint sauce.

All sandwiches are delicious because of their house-made bread—baked fresh every two hours, it’s soft, fluffy, and the perfect vessel for all the delicious fillings. Think of it like a lighter, Egyptian cousin to the steamed bao bun.

For dessert, don’t miss the salakans. It’s filled with halva (a sweet sesame paste) and cream, creating a silky, nutty dream.

Commisso Bros. & Racco Italian Bakery

Contact Details: (416) 651-7671

Commisso Bros. & Racco Italian Bakery offers a delicious slice of Italy. This family-owned gem has been around since 1957, and we definitely think they know how to do Italian food right.

The best part is that they’re open 24/7, so no matter what time the hunger pangs hit, you can get your Italian fix. We’re talking fresh bread baked all day and night, plus a killer hot table that’ll satisfy any craving.

Their daily hot table is legendary—steaming plates of lasagna, meat tortellini, roasted potatoes, and massive sandwiches. Don’t miss their famous veal sandwich; the juicy veal was smothered in their signature tomato sauce—pure Italian comfort food magic!

Heads up: This is a cash-only establishment, so make sure you hit the ATM before you go here.

Alexandros Take-Out

Website: https://alexandrostakeout.com/location/Toronto/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/alexandrostakeout/

Address: 5 Queens Quay W

Hours: Mon – Sun: 11 AM – 4 AM

Contact: (416) 367-0633

Alexandros Take-Out has been cooking delicious Greek eats for over 20 years.

Fun fact: they were the first spot in Toronto to offer gyros back in 1977—juicy, marinated meat cooked to crispy perfection on a giant rotating spit.

Luckily, Alexandros gets it right every time. They use fresh meat delivered daily, marinated in a secret family recipe (only one cook per location knows the magic!).

You can get your gyro fix two ways: classic pita wrap or a full-on dinner plate with rice and Greek salad.  We went for the pork gyro pita, and it was pure magic—perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

But they’ve got more than just gyros—their Greek Poutine is a must-try. Think crispy fries layered with tangy feta cheese, smothered in rich gravy—yum!

ODDSEOUL

  • Fri – Sat: 6 PM – 2 AM

OddSeoul is a funky bar that offers Korean small plates and crazy-good cocktails until 2 AM. Owned by the Han brothers, Leeto and Leemo, this place is all about pushing boundaries and serving up mouthwatering surprises.

Imagine a dimly lit bar with exposed brick walls. Now, add 90s relics like boomboxes and Korean movie posters—that’s the vibe at OddSeoul.

As for the grub, forget your typical late-night fare. Here, you’ll find things like buffalo fried tofu (intriguing, right?), tempura prawns, and even a squash poutine with a Korean spin.

We recommend their bestseller, “The Loosey.” It’s a griddle-smashed breakfast slider filled with juicy short rib and brisket, smothered in kimchi hollandaise, and served on toasted challah.

Adam’s

Website: https://adams-halal-pub.square.site/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adamshalalfood/

Address: 1760 Victoria Park Ave, Scarborough

Hours:

  • Mon – Fri: 11:30 AM – 4 AM
  • Sat – Sun: 2 PM – 4 AM

Contact: (647) 344-3994

Adam’s offers delicious Halal Canadian cuisine with a global twist, open until 4 AM! This family-run spot is perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings without the alcohol.

We love its fun atmosphere—pool tables, foosball, and big-screen TVs showing all the sports action. It’s the perfect place to grab some food and catch up with friends (or make some new ones!).

Plus, the menu is a late-night dream come true—juicy burgers, cheesy poutines, flavourful rice dishes, and more. We snagged their Philly cheesesteak and the beef bacon poutine, and both were delicious and made fresh to order.

But Adam’s isn’t just about savory eats; they’ve got house-made mocktails and shakes to quench your thirst, and don’t forget dessert! The Oreo frozen smoothie is the perfect way to end your late-night adventure.

Bang Bang Burrito

Website: https://bangbangburritos.ca/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bangbangburritos/

Address: 1812 Simcoe St N #4, Oshawa

Hours: Mon – Sun: 11 AM – 4 AM

Contact: (905) 240-9111

Bang Bang Burrito is open until 4 am—a haven for late-night warriors seeking monster burritos and seriously spicy Mexican eats.

We love that they don’t skimp on quality; for instance, their meat is slow-cooked, marinated for 48 hours, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. And, all the extras (including guac!) are free, unlike in other spots where you have to pay extra!

But what Bang Bang Burrito does best is spice. They have a whole hot sauce selection, featuring two options that’ll blow your mind: Ghost Pepper and the Carolina Reaper (currently the world’s hottest pepper—200x hotter than a jalapeño!).

We recommend their yummy fish tacos—beer-battered and crispy perfection. And if you’re feeling adventurous (and have some room left!), try their deep-fried cheesecake on a stick.

Belly Buster Submarines

Media credit: dining.ca

Instagram: instagram.com/explore/locations/462892652/belly-busters-subs/

Address: 3447 Yonge St

Hours:

  • Mon – Thurs: 10 AM – 2 AM
  • Fri – Sat: 10 AM – 3 AM
  • Sunday: 10 AM – 9 PM

Contact: (416) 489-6051

Belly Buster Submarines has been serving up legendary subs for over 45 years, and it seems they haven’t lost their touch. They’re not fancy, but they’re a Toronto staple for a reason.

This place is all about one thing: massive, messy, and ridiculously affordable subs that’ll leave you satisfied for days.

We recommend their namesake sub, Belly Buster. Packed with roast beef, salami, mushrooms, and a gravy that hits the spot.

If you want to turn up the heat, go for the hot peppers—just be prepared for a specific ordering process here. Everything gets a quick microwave zap to melty perfection, and let me tell you, they go through a LOT of bacon.

Speaking of bacon, it’s a key player in many of their subs, along with a trusty deli slicer that seems to be able to handle anything, even lettuce!

The Bagel House

Website: https://www.thebagelhouse.com/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebagelhouse/

Address: 1548 Bayview Ave

Hours: Mon – Sun: Open 24 hours

Contact: (416) 481-8184

The Bagel House is owned by a couple of Montreal expats. They’re shilling authentic Montreal-style bagels around the clock at their Avenue Road location—because a bagel craving shouldn’t have to wait!

These aren’t your average bagels—we’re talking about hand-rolled, wood-fired beauties boiled in honey water for a perfectly sweet and crunchy exterior. They even use all-natural ingredients—no sketchy shortening here!

We recommend their luscious salmon cream cheese on a sesame seed bagel. The cream cheese was piled high, and the smoked salmon was real deal chunks, not that mystery-meat stuff.

They also have other baked goods on offer—perfect for taking home with you. For instance, their apple cinnamon pastries are seriously delicious.

Pizza Gigi

Media credit: tifftoronto

Website: https://www.pizzagigi.ca/

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/338090479/gigi-pizza/

Address: 1760 Victoria Park Ave, Scarborough

Hours:

  • Mon – Sat: 4 PM – 4 AM
  • Sunday: 4 PM – 12 AM

Contact: (416) 535-4444

Pizza Gigi has been serving up amazing pizza to UofT students and Annex residents for over 30 years! It’s the perfect spot to grab a slice (or two) with friends after a night out.

This place has got serious old-school vibes—think friendly owner, comfy seating, and 70s decor that’ll make you feel right at home. They’re also open until 4 am six days a week, perfect for those late-night munchies.

The menu is all about classic pizzas done right: all your favorite toppings—sausage, pepperoni, veggies, the works—on both thin and thick crusts. Go for their large cheese pizza with onions and black olives, and thank us later!

They use a special blend that’s apparently brought in fresh and cut daily, and it makes all the difference. However, note that there’s a small fee for credit/debit transactions, but with slices this good, it’s totally worth it.
