So, after a particularly stressful week recently, I knew I was due for an appointment. Like most women, I have a go-to where I get everything done — except they were closed for renovations when I tried to drop by.
The thing is, I’ve heard so many horror stories about disappointing stylist experiences over the years. That’s why I decided to do what I do best and research the trusted beauty salons in Toronto that clients keep coming back to.
How much do beauty salon services cost in Toronto?
In Toronto, beauty salon services typically cost around $20 to upwards of $300. The final rate will depend on the experience of the salon you go to and the complexity of the services you need.

La Perla Salon & Spa began as a hair salon in 1989, but quickly expanded to help beauty clients get everything they need under one roof. Today, they offer skincare, nailcare, waxing, threading, and hairstyling.
Our favorite thing about them is that they’re not a one-size-fits-all shop. Their experts take the time to understand each person’s hair and skin type to achieve the best results.
It’s also worth mentioning that they’re very accommodating with latecomers, as long as you let them know. They’ll really only cancel if they don’t hear from you.
If there’s something about the outcome of your appointment that you didn’t like, just bring it up within the first 3 days. Their technicians will squeeze you in for a session to make adjustments at no cost.
Unfortunately, there have been a few instances where the damage was too much to fix, specifically with how a certain hairstylist burnt their customers’ hair.

If there’s one thing that you should try, it would be their signature spray tan. Everyone raves about how it gives a nice, sun-kissed glow without looking fake.
Throughout any session, the staff here takes their clients’ comfort seriously. They’re always checking in and explaining what they’re about to do.
Honestly, we think they’d be a great team to hire for weddings. Their technicians move fast, while still providing makeup that’s tailored to each person in the wedding party.
Just keep in mind that they do have a pretty intense cancellation policy. If you don’t show up, they’ll still charge you 100% of the cost of your chosen package.

They’ve also got gentle hands, which is a huge plus. There have been so many stories about how clients were so relaxed that they managed to fall asleep during a lash lift appointment.
However, they might not be the best place for extroverts. Apparently, some stylists aren’t that great at making conversation, leaving patrons feeling slightly awkward.
On the bright side, we appreciate that they accept and are really good at handling younger customers. Other places would charge much higher just for this service.

Now, although eyebrow threading is their most popular offering, it’s been said that the results vary greatly depending on the technician. You can either end up with the most perfectly shaped brows of your life or an experience that you’ll regret for months.
