As luck would have it, we were given a couples massage gift certificate. Me and my boyfriend decided to give it a shot because, well, it’s free and we needed to de-stress.
So, off we went, slipping into matching fluffy bathrobes and cracking jokes at each other’s expense. But after that 1-hour couples massage, we were as relaxed as melted butter on warm toast.
We decided to make a day of it, indulging in foot spas and body wraps while sipping on complimentary drinks. It was so relaxing that we vowed to make it a bi-monthly thing.
Because life’s too short not to enjoy the little things—like sinking into matching plush robes or melting away stress under a skilled masseuse’s hands, here are our favorite couple spas in and around the GTA. Happy pampering!
How much does a couples spa session cost in Toronto?
A basic couples spa package in Toronto can start from around $200 to $400 for a one-hour massage session for two people. The cost can vary depending on the spa’s location, facilities, spa technician’s skill, and the package inclusions.
Note that prices can go higher for longer sessions, additional treatments, or premium amenities.
How We Chose the Best Couple Spas in and around GTA
1. Bahn Thai Spa

Bahn Thai Spa, established in 2014, is one of the best couple’s spas in the GTA, and it’s easy to see why.
After a stockbroking career, Kate discovered the healing benefits of Thai massage while supporting her sister through a battle with cancer. This inspired her to become a Certified Advanced Practitioner and open her own wellness center.
Her spa offers a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for couples—the moment you step in, you and your partner are served refreshing cups of lemongrass tea.
Couples are then pampered with everything they need for a relaxing retreat: plush towels, comfortable sarongs, cozy slippers, and loose attire for their massage sessions.
The range of luxurious treatments includes the option to elevate your experience with an infrared sauna, Hot Thai Stem, or Thai Oil for longer, more indulgent sessions.
While the experience is mostly serene, we heard some reports of therapists pushing for higher tips.
Pros
- Over a decade of experience
- Owned by a Certified Advanced Practitioner
- Free cups of lemongrass tea
- Towels, sarongs, slippers, and loose attire
- Wide range of luxurious treatments for couples

“My partner and I had a 90 min couples massage, and it was amazing. The space is so inviting and relaxing, and the practitioners were excellent (Sr practioners, non-rmt). We will be coming back, and very much looking forward to it.”

2. Spa at Four Seasons Toronto

The Spa at Four Seasons Toronto is another top-notch choice for couples looking to unwind and rejuvenate in the GTA—it’s also a perfect escape for busy couples.
After being provided with a locker secured by a digital keypad, you and your partner can slip into fluffy robes and slippers.
Couples can then choose from a variety of massages, but for a truly sensual experience, we recommend their Aroma Relaxing Massage. This signature treatment uses light to medium pressure with beautiful organic oil blends.
Beyond the massages, the spa offers a relaxation pool and a detoxifying steam room. Their showers are stocked with organic products, and their grooming areas are equipped with everything, from razors to hair products.
As a bonus, they have spa in-room dining, offering nutritious, plant-forward dishes until 11 AM—perfect for a brunch date!
While it’s true that it’s a bit pricey, we think the level of service and luxurious amenities make it worth every penny.

Came for our anniversary and had a spectacular time
“A wonderful spa experience. My partner and I came for our anniversary and had a spectacular time. It is a cozy and quiet space, very well maintained, with plenty of space to have your own personal moment of relaxation. The steam room and outdoor terrace were borne highlights in terms of amenities. The aromatherapy massage is lovely and the two RMTs that took care of us, Mariana and Jeff, were fantastic. The front desk and cleaning staff were all great too, calm and perfectly welcoming. It is definitely a pricier spa experience, but for celebrations or once-in-a-while self-care moments, well worth it! We’ll be back.”

3. Novo Spa

Novo Spa is owned by Nora, whose journey from a 20-year career in finance to spa ownership is inspiring. With a degree in business, she and her husband made the move from Colombia to Canada, where she could turn her passion into reality.
We love their free access to the Sanarium—a sauna and steam room. Plus, free tea blends are also offered at their tea lounge.
After lounging around, couples can check out the Luxury Suit, which offers a decadent side-by-side treatment. This suite includes a couple’s shower with steam, a rainforest cascade, and body jets.
They also offer a Couples Ritual—a 90-minute indulgence in the Luxury Couple’s Suite, which begins with a 20-minute Asian Tea Ritual for a foot soak and massage.
This is followed by an Eminence Organic Sugar & Salt Stone Crop Scrub, a head massage, and a private color therapy steam.

4. Elmwood Spa

The spa’s building opened 130 years ago and served as Toronto’s YWCA. Eventually, it transformed into Elmwood Spa in 1982, providing comfort and superior treatments in a serene space.
Their water therapies are inspired by the historical concept of taking therapeutic waters. This focus is reflected in their logo and treatment rooms, all named after shades of blue.
Speaking of treatment, couples can enjoy various spa packages tailored to their needs.
For a straightforward experience, the Couples Suites offer massages in a room for two, with options to upgrade to the Royal and Sapphire suites.
For those looking to splurge, the Exotic Escape for Two includes water therapies, a 50-minute couples Swedish massage, and a three-course dinner with wine!
Other couples packages include the Couples Essential Retreat, Thai Escape for Two, and Euphoria for Two Retreat, amongst others.
Note that we heard complaints about their therapists arriving late.

Visited for a couples massage and were thoroughly impressed
“My wife and I recently visited Elmwood Spa in Toronto for a couples massage and were thoroughly impressed. The spa provided us with a private room where a cozy fire added to the relaxing atmosphere. The aromatherapy during our session was fantastic and really helped to enhance the sense of calm. Our massage therapists, Andrea and Alba, were outstanding. They were attentive and made sure our experience was both enjoyable and relaxing. I highly recommend Elmwood Spa for anyone looking for a high-quality spa experience. My husband and I had a great experience from CedarHouse!
“My husband and I had a great experience from CedarHouse! We booked an RMT massage (60 mins). They focused on our concerns (tensed shoulders, migraine), and exerted enough pressure without hurting our body. We felt comfortable during the session. Will definitely go back! Thank you Daniella and Barbara.”
