The Thorncliffe Community Market has been serving the neighbourhood for more than a decade. It’s open from 3 PM to sunset every Friday from May to September.
The market is spearheaded by the Thorncliffe Park Women’s Committee, a non-profit organization that aims to empower newcomer women and youth through entrepreneurship.
It features a variety of vendors selling fresh produce, meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and other local goods. There are also a number of food trucks you can explore and live music performances you can catch.
Make sure to bring cash with you, as some vendors don’t accept cards.
Check out the Leaside Bridge

If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, the Leaside Bridge is a great option. Formerly known as the East York Leaside Viaduct, this historic bridge was also commemorated as the Confederation Bridge.
The bridge is 440-metre long and was built in 1927. It spans the Don River and connects the neighbourhoods of Leaside and Thorncliffe Park.
Aside from being one of the most important transportation links in TO, the Leaside Bridge is a popular spot to enjoy panoramic views of the Don Valley and the surrounding area, go biking, or enjoy a relaxing stroll.
The Don River is also a popular spot for fishing. If you have a fishing license, you can try your luck catching some fish from the bridge.
Take a stroll at E.T. Seton Park

E.T. Seton Park is connected to other parks in the area by a network of trails, forming a continuous green corridor along the river.
The park is named after Ernest Thompson Seton, a Canadian naturalist and author. It has a variety of features, including an archery range, a disc golf course, a playground, a basketball court, a bike trail, and even a dog park for your furbabies.
There’s limited parking at the park, so it’s best to take public transportation or walk if you’re nearby.
