Printing photos in Toronto can vary widely depending on the size and quality of the prints. Standard 4×6 prints usually cost around $0.20 to $0.50 each at most local print shops.
Larger prints, such as 8×10 or 11×14, can range from $5 to $15 each. Custom prints, high-quality photo books, or canvas prints can be more expensive, ranging from $20 to over $100.
How We Chose the Best Photo Printing Places in Toronto
1. Downtown Camera
Downtown Camera has been around for ages (over 40 years!) and they’re a one-stop shop for all things photo printing. They even have a full lab in-house with technicians who can handle both color and black-and-white film.
For photo printing, you can order online and upload your pics straight from your phone or computer, which is convenient. They also do same-day in-store printing, but there’s a $5 minimum order.
The coolest part is their lab technicians can help you with stuff like slideshows, posters, and even adding text or graphics to your photos. They can also turn your film negatives into giant prints.
One thing to consider is that we heard reports about their low-quality prints. While they do offer a “free with purchase” thing, which is kind of fun, it might be worth checking out the print quality before you go all in.

They have in-store kiosks where you can order prints and even photo books while chilling in their cafe.
Beyond basic prints, they do some fun stuff too, like metallic prints and mounting your pics on different materials like foam boards. They can even handle panoramic prints, which is great for those extra-wide landscape shots.
In addition to printing, they offer a whole range of photo products like calendars and even passport photos since they have a photography studio on-site! That might be handy if you need a quick headshot update.
One downside we noticed is that the staff can be a bit rude or unhelpful. That’s a bummer because friendly service goes a long way.
