We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Hyrox, the full-body functional fitness competition, has taken the fitness world by storm; this intense workout is perfect for athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and even those looking for a fun and challenging way to get in shape.

It’s no wonder why former NFL players, reality stars, and even everyday people are embracing this exciting new trend. So when my friend asked me to join her for a Hyrox workout, I was totally on board!

But, of course, I didn’t want to settle for just any gym—I wanted the best.

That’s why I did some serious digging and found the top Hyrox gyms in Toronto. If you’re ready to sweat it out and take on the Hyrox challenge, here are the best spots to get started.

How much does Hyrox training cost in Toronto?

Drop-in Hyrox training classes in Toronto range from $20 to $40 per session, while monthly memberships might cost between $100 and $200.
The cost can vary depending on the gym and the type of membership or class package you choose. Some gyms may also offer custom training programs or personal coaching at higher rates.

How We Chose the Best Hyrox Fitness Gyms in Toronto

Expertise: We assessed the trainers’ qualifications and certifications to ensure they have specialized knowledge in Hyrox and functional fitness training.
Facilities: We evaluated the gym’s equipment, space, and overall setup to make sure it supports the unique demands of Hyrox training, like sleds, wall balls, and assault bikes.
Training Programs: We reviewed the range of Hyrox-specific programs offered, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Class Availability: We considered the number of classes offered per week and their scheduling flexibility to ensure they fit a variety of lifestyles.
Success Stories: We analyzed client testimonials and success stories to gauge the effectiveness of the gym in helping people achieve their fitness goals through Hyrox.
Personalization: We checked for options like personalized training plans or one-on-one coaching to cater to individuals with specific fitness goals or needs.
Cost: We compared the cost of membership, drop-in fees, and class packages to make sure the gyms offer good value for money without compromising on quality.

Best gym I’ve been to

“This is the best gym I’ve been to and to be honest, it’s not that close. I’ve been a regular at gyms for 30 years and competed in high performance sports. It’s the perfect combo of terrific intensity and family vibe. You’ll be gasping for air one second and laughing the next. I haven’t met a friendlier crowd at another gym. The prices are too low in my opinion as I want to see these guys making money for the quality they are pumping out. It’s a must try in my opinion. Perfect for athletes or folks just trying to get their fitness up. Love you Resilience.”

The classes are fantastic

“I love this gym so much! The classes are fantastic – tons of variety and set-up in a way that you can go at your own pace. The coaches are all incredibly encouraging and enthusiastic. They each make a big effort to learn your name, say hi to everyone that walks in, and make them feel welcomed. I’ve truly never worked out in a place that has built such a friendly and inclusive community. Wherever you’re at in your fitness journey there’s a place for you at resilience and I absolutely recommend checking it out!”

OPERATING HOURSMon - Fri: 6 AM – 7:30 PM

Sat - Sun: 9 AM – 12 PM

Empact Fitness is a multicultural strength and conditioning gym focused on helping you grow—not just physically, but as an individual. And they offer plenty of ways to do that, including their popular Hyrox training classes.

Their Hyrox classes are held 7 days a week. They’re designed to build up your endurance, strength, and agility, so you’ll be more than prepared for those eight infamous Hyrox workout stations.

During these classes, you’ll tackle sled pushes and pulls, rowing, and burpee broad jumps. These are all combined with intervals of running, rowing, or biking.

When it comes to pricing, we like their affordable package of $139/month, giving you access to eight Hyrox classes a month. But if you’re not ready to commit, their 7-day trial package for $35 is a great way to test things out.

Note, however, that their variety of Hyrox class types is a bit limited.

Pros

  • Hyrox classes held 7 days a week
  • Based on eight Hyrox workout stations
  • Comparatively affordable Hyrox package
  • Has a 7-day trial package

Cons

  • Limited Hyrox class types

After only a week trial at Empact, I was hooked!

The trainers push you, help you work on your weaknesses and form, and encourage you to increase your weight. I feel challenged, engaged, and excited to work out every day. Highly recommended to anyone who wants some proper gains!”

The team at One Academy believes in strengthening both your body and mind while building a supportive community that can truly transform your life. Their Hyrox-specific training is no exception.

The gym’s Hyrox classes are coached by actual Hyrox competitors and certified coaches, so you’re getting guidance from people who have firsthand experience.

Their approach is also designed to help you build strength and confidence in the core Hyrox movements, from sled pushes to burpees.

We appreciate their affordable $49 Two-Week Trial offer, which includes unlimited access to all their classes for 14 days.

Plus, you can enjoy the vibe of their cafe and lounge after class—a great place to refuel with a protein smoothie or just hang out with your training crew.

By far the best CrossFit gym in downtown Toronto

“This is by far the best crossfit gym in downtown Toronto. The coaching is amazing – everyone is highly knowledgeable, they have specialty coaches in gymnastics, olympic lifting, mobility, stick mobility and strength and conditioning. The atmosphere is friendly and inclusive but also cool. And the community is outstanding. Even if you just drop by for a coffee in the cafe, this is a fun place to hang out for an hour. But take a class! You won’t regret it!”

Lindsay Prajza, Google Review

One of the best gyms in the city

“This is one of the best gyms in the city. It’s actually more than a gym. It’s where people come to heal, mentally and physically. The community is second to none. I’m genuinely so happy to be a part of this great community. Love the coaches and the staff. Knowledgeable, friendly and motivating.”

OPERATING HOURSMonday: 7 AM – 8 PM

Tuesday: 5 AM – 12 AM

Wed - Sat: Open 24 hours

Sunday: 12 AM – 10 PM

GoodLife Fitness has been a staple in the Canadian fitness scene since 1979. Their focus is on progress rather than perfection.

Now, for Hyrox training specifically, they provide two main programs.

First, their Hyrox Foundational Training is a group workout that focuses on building the basics for fitness. You’ll work on building strength, power, endurance, and agility—all of which are key for a Hyrox race.

For those looking to push further, the Hyrox Complete Training takes things up a notch. This program is designed to boost your stamina.

We recommend going for their “Book a Tour, Get a Free Workout” offer—simply fill out an online form to sign up for a free workout session. They even run seasonal promos, where you can save up to 70% on memberships.

However, it’s not all perfect. We heard complaints such as no hot water in the showers and some broken treadmills and bikes.

Pros

  • Over 40 years of experience
  • Offers Hyrox Foundational Training
  • Has Hyrox Complete Training
  • “Book a Tour, Get a Free Workout” offer
  • Runs seasonal promos

Cons

  • Some faulty equipment

The nicest looking GoodLife Fitness!

“The nicest looking GoodLife Fitness! Staff are super friendly and the place is immaculate! There are two floors with hot yoga, spin, meditation rooms and two group fitness rooms. On the lower level there are 9 squat racks with 4 platforms. Can’t go wrong here!”

The gym is fantastic

“The gym is fantastic – clean, spacious, and with a friendly and helpful staff. But what’s really elevated my experience is training with Michael. Michael is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly motivating. His positive attitude makes working out enjoyable.”
