Curious about aerial yoga? Well, let me tell you about my first experience.
My fitness-loving friend convinced me to give it a shot, and honestly, I had no idea what to expect. But she assured me it’s like regular yoga, just with a twist—or rather, a suspension!
Turns out, aerial yoga involves doing yoga poses while hanging from fabric hammocks. It’s not only fun but also great for improving flexibility, building core strength, and relieving stress.
Surprisingly, I found it easier to get the hang of it than I thought. The instructors were super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better.
So, after that awesome session, my friend and I decided to explore the coolest aerial yoga spots in Toronto. If you’re up for a unique and exhilarating way to unwind and get fit, check out our list—aerial yoga might just be your new favorite thing!
How much do aerial yoga sessions cost in Toronto?
In Toronto, expect to pay anywhere from $30 to $50 for a single drop-in aerial yoga class.
Some studios may offer package deals or memberships that can bring the cost per session down. You can also shop around for class passes.
How We Chose the Best Aerial Yoga Studios in Toronto
1. Brass Vixens
Since 2006, Brass Vixens has been the real deal with hundreds of classes—including aerial yoga—buzzing every month!
First off, we loved their sleek studio with cherry hardwood floors, wall-to-wall mirrors, and ceilings that soar 10 feet high.
Their Aerial 1 class will ease newbies into the hammock world, covering everything from floor basics to upside-down inversions.
And for those ready to level up, their Aerial 2 will teach you advanced moves that’ll have you feeling like a true aerial acrobat.
Another class offering is their Aerial Yin. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a long day, improving flexibility while floating in the air.
Pole dancing, floor play, heels classes, and even burlesque classes are available—it’s like a one-stop shop for sassiness!
Now, when you’re not flying high on those hammocks, you can chill out on their rooftop patio or cozy lounge.
Sadly, we did hear a few whispers about them having a clique-y vibe.

I LOVE Brass Vixens
“I LOVE Brass Vixens. I’ve been taking class there for a year and a half, and I’ve had so much fun! I’ve also gotten so much stronger! There is a HUGE variety of classes offered. This is great, because everyone will have different classes that they like. The intro offer is sweet because it gives you a month to try all the different classes. The teachers are really kind and committed to seeing you grow and improve. There is a really positive environment in the classes- people are friendly and open-minded. The studios are lovely. There’s lots of space to dance and stretch, and lots of room to get changed. The bathrooms are always clean and there’s often deodorant, hair ties and tampons there for students. I’ve had the best experience at this studio and I’m so happy it’s become a big part of my life. Thank you Brass Vixens!”

Whole class made me feel welcome
“Bright, clean, accessible space, friendly instructors, and great atmosphere. I came to Star Dance Centre for an aerial hammock class – my first in nearly a decade – and the whole class made me feel welcomed. Hanging upside down in a hammock is a special experience, made even better by the fact that my abs are still feeling the workout from nearly 3 days ago. Thanks, Bonita and team!”

The teacher was attentive but not overbearing! I’ll be back for sure 🤸”

Tried my first aerial yoga class; it was incredible
“I tried my first aerial yoga class at Mukti Studio last Saturday. It was incredible. The instructor was very friendly and clear. I usually feel intimidated as I am still a beginner at yoga but this class felt warm and comforting. I have knee pain and they guided me for what felt good for my body. It still felt like a workout and my muscles were activated. I felt really energized after it! Also, Josh at the front desk was so sweet and welcoming. I would go again 100%!”

Been on other aerial silks retreats; this was by far the best
“I’m way overdue to write this, but I went on a Flytime Retreats/ Circus Fix Retreat to Costa Rica, led by Jamie Holmes. I have been on other aerial silks retreats and this was by far the best for a number of reasons: 1. Facility/ Retreat Center (Funky Monkey): they have delicious, healthy food; the silks studio is gorgeous, the accommodations are clean, the staff are service oriented. 2. Trip Leader (Jamie Holmes): Jaime is professional, detail oriented, and planned the trip logistics well. She also communicated clearly on a regular basis so everyone was on the same page and knew about events, activities, and details. When a minor problem arose with a massage booking at the retreat center, Jaime addressed it immediately and had it resolved the same day. 3. Aerial Classes (Jamie Holmes): Jaime had numerous sequences for everyone to learn that were unique and creative. She also incorporated cool creative exercises to expand our skill set as aerialists. She encouraged aerialists to work together and communicate and fostered a fun, engaging, and energetic class experience. I learned so much every day and frequently multiple times a day! 4. Extras: Jamie also planned fun “outside of class” activities like a photoshoot on the beach, massages at a local spa, and more.
