Cares about my journey to having beautiful skin
“Katie at North Medical has fixed my dry and sensitive skin. I adore her! I’ve had issues with my skin for many (many) years and have done multiple treatments with Katie and each one has helped me get closer to the clear, happy smooth skin I have today. She’s a miracle worker! My skin looks so even and smooth and I can’t wait to see her again. If you want a spa experience that transports you to another world, Miraj Hammam is worth checking out. That is of course if you’re also willing to pay like royalty.
Located in the upscale Shangri-La Hotel, the spa meets many basics of a luxurious oasis. From mosaic-tiled hammams to its famed Turkish baths, every service is fit for a king.
Now, with that in mind, treatments here are expensive, even with a friend to split the bill. But it’s not too expensive to the point where it’s inaccessible, so it’s totally possible if you really want to spoil yourself.
Apart from the usual massages, facials, and body treatments, you can also book them for wellness retreats. These usually last for at least two hours and combine at least three services.
If you want to try any of these retreats out, we recommend going for the City Retreat for $605. With this, you already get mani & pedi, a signature facial, and a 90-minute personalized massage.
Speaking of combined services, you can get a package for two with a friend or a special someone. With this, you can get time in the hammam, plus get massages and facials together.
Pros

- Offers wine-inspired treatments called “vinotherapy”
- Offers wellness retreats for solo clients or couples
- Gift cards available
- Offers monthly specials for big discounts
- Receive Moroccan tea & baklava after your session

Amazing services fit to pamper clients
I spent a relaxing and absolutely amazing experience at Miraj Hammam Spa today. I had the Hot Stones massage and Head massage, from A to Z my experience was all about being pampered and very well serve at the Spa. The Therapist was gorgeous and made magic. Last but not least, I enjoyed the patio to relax under the sun with a nice cup of Maroccan Tea and biscottis.Merci! And see you soon.- Sonia Amichi

The spa offers luxury bodycare products and silk sheets and the softest bathrobe ever! The best place for a little city escape in my opinion! – Linda Novobratski

Girls’ night out? Why not take the waters for a rejuvenating experience at a women’s-only spa?
Apart from its multiple locations, we also like the comprehensive services that Body Blitz offers. The best part is, the rates are well within Toronto’s average, so that’s a plus for us.
Looking into its set of services, everything is pretty standard for a usual spa. If we had to pick a favorite service here, it would be the waters circuit service.
Let’s discuss the waters circuit for a bit as it’s the highlight of the place and it’s included in all spa packages. This hydrotherapy involves a series of going into a dead sea salt pool, steaming, sauna, and hot Epsom salt pool.
The circuit will take about 90 minutes to finish, with showers and cold pool plunges in between. We recommend trying this one if you want to relieve stress, tone your skin more, and clear your congestion.
If you happen to have cardiac or respiratory conditions, we advise trying out something else instead. But if you’re all good, choose any of their packages so you can save more for your pamper day.
We have many favorites on their list such as the Blitz Luxe that includes the waters circuit. a body treatment, and a massage. But if you want to upgrade the 60-minute body treatment and massage to 90 minutes, book the Blitz Ultraluxe.
By the way, they also have a juice bar on-site in case you need some refreshments. Their juice bar sells nutritious juices and ayurvedic teas so give it a try if you’re into that.
Pros
- All spa packages include a 90-minute waters circuit therapy
- Average prices on all services
- Two locations in Toronto
- Best for those who prefer an all-women’s spa
- Skincare products available online
- Has a juice bar for refreshments
- Gift cards available
- Accepts up to groups of four
Cons
- Closed on Mondays
- Long waiting times during busy seasons
- Groups can be chatty so the place can be noisy at times
- Cancellation policy that can cost you up to 50% of your treatment price

Relaxing and comfortable spa
Went for the pool circuit and a body treatment – I loved it. The pool area is nicely lit, relaxing and really clean. It was very quiet when I was in the pools, but note that it got quite busy and less quiet around noon. Overall, staff made me feel very comfortable and I hope to return again soon! – Madison Cawker
Services that rejuvenates the body and soul
Relaxing and rejuvenating your body and soul! Adelaide West location staff were friendly and attentive. Want some quiet and healing time for yourself? Consider Tuesdays and Thursdays since these days are designated to be a silent day. Enjoy the pools, sauna, and grab a yummy heathy juices! Their scrub service is so awesome. Be careful not to be addicted!!! – Jihyun Jeong

OPERATING HOURS | Monday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM |
Spa My Blend has everything you can expect from an ultra-luxurious spa. Nestled inside the Ritz Carlton Hotel, it has fantastic amenities, high-class lounging areas, and of course, high costs.
Still, it’s a perfect patch of paradise for those who really want to splurge on relaxation. And if you want to save a bit, we recommend booking during non-holidays and weekdays as the services are usually $10 to $30 cheaper.
Speaking of services, we’re big fans of its wide selection of specialized treatments. For facials alone, you get 10 different options based on the results you want – pretty overwhelming, but we’d prefer variety over anything.
The choices might be a lot but they ensure that the experience is personalized for each client. And it’s not an empty promise either as many clients praised them for this.
By the way, the spa houses Toronto’s very first Champagne Nail Bar which is nice if you want a mani & pedi session. Surprisingly, the costs aren’t too far from the average considering that some nail care comes with a glass of champagne.
Pros
- High-class spa in the Ritz Carlton Hotel
- Online booking is available
- A wide selection of treatments and packages
- Personalized spa experience
- Houses Toronto’s very first Champagne Nail Bar
- Has a co-ed lounge and gendered quiet areas
- Free snacks, coffee, and tea (currently unavailable due to COVID)
- Open daily
Cons
- Expensive services
Customer Reviews
Amazing services worth every penny
Throughout the pandemic I’ve been dreaming of taking my pandemic savings and booking a really luxurious treatment. I looked at all the big luxury spas in Toronto and Spa My Blend seemed to be the only place offering interesting treatments (rather than the same old Swedish massage, etc.) that are focused on relaxation instead of correction. I had the Holistic Stress Buster 2-hour treatment that was a combination of a body treatment, massage, and facial. It was like taking a vacation. At $390 it seems expensive, but it’s worth at least twice the price. Natalia was so friendly and down to earth and seemed to have 6 hands! And not once did she comment on the appearance or quality of my skin, which always bums me out at other spas. And no one tried to sell me any products. It was a perfect relaxation experience. I booked it weeks in advance and had the highest expectations and they were exceeded. – Kaori Furue
One of the best atmosphere in Toronto
Every staff is above and beyond with the service here. The atmosphere is absolutely one of the best you could find in Toronto. If you choose to do a massage that’s 60 mins or more, you can enjoy their pool, sauna, hot tubs and shower. I used to go somewhere else for massages, not anymore! For everything you can get here, the price is reasonable and very much worth it. I’d recommend to come with girlfriends and have a spa day here. They also offer food/drinks in the lounge at the spa. Love! – Debbie Lu
5. The Spa at the Old Mill
SERVICES | Facials, manicure & pedicure, body treatments, alternative therapy, hair removal, massage therapy |
WEBSITE | https://www.spaoldmill.ca/ |
ADDRESS | 9 Old Mill Rd, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1G5, Canada |
CONTACT DETAILS | +1 416-232-3700 [email protected] |
OPERATING HOURS | Monday – Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (for boutique and bookings only) Wednesday – Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM |
After seeing a series of modern spas in Toronto, the Spa at the Old Mill is such a breath of fresh air. Every trip here feels like a trip back in time with its old-fashioned aesthetics.
By old-fashioned, we don’t mean outdated – we mean settings that feel straight out of a Jane Austen novel. And if that’s the kind of peace you yearn for, then check this place out.
There’s nothing too special to expect with their services as they’re very standard. The costs aren’t high either as most of them fall within the city’s average.
What we liked instead are the packages they offer that are tailor-fit for men, women, and couples.
For women, we recommend going all out on the Queen for a Day package for $531. The package includes a wrap, a facial, mani & pedi, and a Swedish massage for about 4 hours and 30 minutes.
As for men, there are only two options: one with a pedicure and one without. The difference in cost is pretty significant so do think about whether you also want to get a power wash pedicure on that day or not.
If you’re going as a couple, you only have two package options two but the differences are really big. If you want head-to-toe-care, book the Together 4 Ever for $716.
But if you just want a massage and a facial, go for the Time Together package instead. It only costs $472 and lasts for about two hours, which makes it easy to squeeze into a busy day.
Pros
- European-style and romantic setting for a spa
- Average prices on services
- Comprehensive packages for men, women, and couples
- Gift certificates available
- Offers promotions on skincare products
- Online store available to shop skincare and bath products
- Online booking available for certain services
Cons
- Cancels appointments without reaching out first at times
- Online booking system tends to glitch at times
Customer Service
One of the best places to get a massage
Just got back from a prenatal massage at The Spa at the Old Mill and I wish I had booked a longer session! It was my first time visiting, but immediately upon parking, you’re welcomed by the most beautiful set of buildings that transport you to some little European village. The reception was lovely, the RMT was very welcoming and attentive. I had no issues during the session at all, it was honestly one of the best massages I’ve received. It felt very safe with all the covid protocols in place and I was pleasantly surprised to know that the RMT was not only wearing a mask but also a face shield and gloves. It was a very comfortable experience and I will definitely be going back! – Incia Khalid
Kind and gentle service
Just wanted to make note of Annetta and her excellence – I had my first facial 3 days ago, and while the Old Mill Spa is very lovely, she is what made the experience so great for me. Such a kind and gentle person, she made me feel very comfortable and was so knowledgeable on the products she was using (and taught me a thing or two about my own skin). I just thought she was amazing. I would return in a heartbeat and request her. – Rose Debono

Elmwood Spa made our list after ticking off many boxes of things that we love in spas. The place is great, the packages are amazing, and the experience is fantastic.
Let’s run through the reasons why they’re one of the best in the city.
For starters, we’re big fans of its spa packages. They have packages for couples, groups of friends, and even expecting mothers.
Of course, you can also get individual services if you’re not looking for a retreat. The services they have are all standard from massages to facials, but they also have something that not most spas offer.
Among its beauty services, they give haircuts, makeup services, waxing, threading, and hair treatments. With this, we reckon that it’s a nice place to drop by if ever you need a quick fix to give your look a lift.
One of our favorites is the spa dining experience that’s perfect for couples or friends on a date. Add only $45 to your service and you already get a three-course lunch with an outdoor setting overlooking the city.
In addition to dates, we also recommend the place for birthday celebrants and soon-to-be mommies. We just like the package options you get because even the higher-tier package didn’t exceed $370.
Just a heads up before you call, booking them over the phone can be difficult. The place is pretty famous too so expect busy hours even during weekdays.
Pros
- Great spa packages for solo clients, couples, pregnant women, and men
- Has extra beauty services from haircuts to waxing
- A three-course spa dining experience with an outdoor setting
- Offers specials to get discounts
- A la carte spa packages
- Open daily
Cons
- Rates for individual services are slightly higher than average
- Can be difficult to book over the phone
- Can be busy even on weekdays
Customer Reviews
Amazing value for the overall experience
I booked a package for my friend and I called Spa and Savour. Carol was really helpful on the phone. It was great value for the experience, we both had a 3 course lunch on the beautiful terrace. They had delicious vegan options for each course without needing to make any modifications so that was greatly appreciated. The water therapies were great and Covid Protocols were everywhere and made me feel comfortable. My friend and I had aromatherapy massages; they were so relaxing and my therapist Francis was really good at working on my problem areas and made some suggestions to help long term. Thank you! I highly recommend and will be back. – Jennifer Mv
Rejuvenating experience for friends
Had an amazing girl’s day at the spa here. They were able to accommodate our group of 5 for a full day of pampering. They were having an amazing summer special and I enjoyed a 50 minute massage and 25 minute facial along with the water therapies. We also enjoyed a light snack and the bar. I felt so rejuvenated. I will definitely go back! – Angelique Thompson

Customer Reviews
Extremely pleasing results
“After getting a referral from a friend after struggling for years with stubborn facial hair, I can say that the hair has subsided substantially! Less hair meant fewer bumps and discoloration, my complexion has never looked clearer…they took the time to analyze my skin type and put together a successful schedule for treatments.
I also used their trusculpt services after struggling to bounce back physically from a biking accident. Exactly 3 months after the treatment the belly fat just melted off (with continued physical activity of course)! I will be going for a touch-up at summer’s end but so far, extremely pleased with the results.
I will never leave this clinic ❤️” – Keisha Phoenixx
Extremely knowledgeable staff
“I’ve been going to Ici Paris for many treatments, including laser hair removal, brow lamination, and lash tint and lift, and have nothing but good things to say. The staff is continuously kind and helpful when educating me on their treatment offerings based on my concerns. They are extremely knowledgeable about their treatments and skin care products. I am so happy with all my results. I would recommend anyone to visit Ici Paris and learn more about not only their treatment offerings but also the skin care products they carry, including medical-grade skin care for optimal results. My skin has drastically changed for the better with the help of their esthetician’s and front staff’s recommendations.” – Natalie Pistillo
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Spa
Choosing a spa might be hard, especially for those who have never been to one. There are a lot of things you need to consider in order to get the best out of the money you’ll spend:
Here are some factors that can help you consider which spa to go to:
Environment
Take some time to assess the spa’s environment and decide if you will be able to feel calm and relaxed in it. After all, the atmosphere makes a big part of the experience.
Some spas have an online website that has pictures of their place. Although it wouldn’t produce the same feeling as being in the spa, it can still help get an idea of what to expect.
Services
Spas have a service menu posted on their website and/or in a brochure you can find when you visit. Take some time to read through their services and decide whether they have the kind of service you need.
Picking a good spa depends on whether they actually provide the service that your body needs. There’s no point in going to a spa that wouldn’t be able to provide the service you’re looking for.
Experience
The next thing you need to consider is how experienced their practitioners are. Are they new to the business or have they been in the business for years?
Some spas put their practitioner’s information on their website, making it easier for their clients to decide. And although new practitioners aren’t necessarily bad, it’s better to find someone who has a lot of experience already.
Customer Reviews
The last thing you might consider are their customers’ reviews. Certain sites like Google Reviews are a good place to start when assessing this matter, but you can also ask around.
Knowing what their previous clients think and assessing them can help you get an overview of how well they will treat you. This can help you narrow down your choices and even be able to find the best one.
