My friend recently asked me for advice on finding a trusted occupational therapist to help their uncle recover after an accident and regain confidence in his daily activities.
I was flattered they trusted me with such an important recommendation, so I knew I had to deliver top-notch suggestions. The therapist should be experienced, approachable, and committed to personalized care that makes a real difference.
After thorough research and thoughtful consideration, I’ve compiled a list of Toronto’s top occupational therapists who are making a real impact!
How much do occupational therapists charge in Toronto?
Some clinics may offer package deals or sliding scale rates for those with financial constraints. Therapy for children, seniors, or specific needs like post-surgery recovery might come with tailored pricing.
How We Chose the Best Occupational Therapists in Toronto
1. Victoria Prooday
Victoria Prooday is a powerhouse in the occupational and psychotherapy scene, and her work is all about giving kids and teens the skills they need to thrive.
One of the coolest things about her work is how she connects with parents. She helps them really understand their kids and figure out what makes them tick.
Victoria doesn’t stop with families. By working closely with educators, she helps create classroom environments where kids with unique needs can shine—whether by giving advice on sensory strategies or tips to improve focus.
We love that her experience speaks volumes. From Autism Spectrum Disorder to ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory processing challenges, she’s seen it all.
She’s also super accessible—you can meet in person, chat online, or even talk over the phone.
That said, her focus is on kids and teens. So, if you’re an adult, you’ll need to go elsewhere.
Very happy with the progress our daughter has made
“We’ve been going to Victoria’s center for almost a year now, and we are very happy with the progress our daughter has made. She is more consistent with big movement imitation, and her fine motor skills have improved significantly. Victoria and her amazing team incorporate music into many of their activities, keeping them engaging and entertaining for the kids. They learn a lot while having fun. The staff is very caring and celebrates every single progress our daughter makes. We’re so happy we found this place and continue to be part of this wonderful team.”

Health Bound Health Network is a one-stop shop for top-tier rehabilitation services. In fact, their care meets the gold standard set by CARF International.
If you’re recovering from a brain injury, dealing with chronic pain, or bouncing back from a stroke, their occupational therapy team has the expertise to help.
What’s great about their OTs is that they make life easier for clients after a hospital stay or injury. From planning your discharge to reintegrating into your community, they’re hands-on every step of the way.
Your first visit is pretty thorough—they’ll start with an initial assessment and interview to get the full picture. They might check your physical and cognitive abilities, as well as talk through any barriers that could impact your recovery
Now, here’s the thing—there’s been some chatter that the staff can be a bit loud and, let’s say, “spirited.”

3. F.R.O.M. Toronto Pain Relief Clinic
F.R.O.M. (Functional Range Of Motion) Toronto Pain Relief Clinic’s mission is to get you moving again by kicking pain to the curb and helping you live your best life.
Your first OT session is all about understanding what you need, with a thorough evaluation to pinpoint your goals. From there, the therapist creates a custom plan.
We like that they can meet you at their clinic, your home, school, or even your workplace—basically, wherever you’re most comfortable.
On the practical side, they accept most extended health plans and even offer direct billing to your insurance. No messy paperwork? Yes, please!
Keep in mind that since they’re pretty popular, getting an appointment might be a tad challenging.

Him and his team are outstanding service providers and his knowledge and insights have no bounds. He is very patient, calm, respectful and understanding. Thank You Dr and your team for allowing me to continue on with life pain free!!”

4. Lifemark Physiotherapy
Lifemark Physiotherapy has over 300 locations, so it’s clear they’re doing something right. Their motto, “Movement to a better life,” sums up their goal perfectly: when you’re moving better, you’re living better.
Your first OT appointment includes a deep dive into your medical history. The best part is that you don’t have to go it alone—you can bring a family member, friend, or caregiver for support.
Sessions can also happen at their clinic, your home, or even your workplace, depending on what works best for you.
They’re experts in helping you with the essentials of everyday life, like getting dressed, eating, and moving around the house. They’re also pros at managing concussions and supporting recovery from brain injuries or strokes.
Note, however, that they don’t honor OHIP referrals, which could be a sticking point for some.
Magically releases the tightness, and the pain goes away

Recuperation from surgery has certainly been greatly supported
“I have been a client of Lifemark at 1500 Bathurst St. in Toronto since early 2024. I have worked mostly with Terry Wang. These visits are the result of hip-replacement surgery in November 2023. Terry is an excellent physiotherapist. He is informative, kind, and encouraging. He shares his vast knowledge, listens and responds to my questions, and charts a reasonable and progressive course of action. My recuperation from surgery has certainly been greatly supported by Terry. I am also grateful to Sarah and to the front-desk staff at Lifemark at this location.”

5. CBI Health
CBI Health has been in the game for over 45 years, building a solid reputation for helping people get back on their feet—literally and figuratively. They do this with the help of over 2,500 healthcare professionals across Canada.
They offer home-based OT services for those struggling with personal care or caregiving tasks. Similarly, their work-site services include job-site analyses and coaching programs designed to ease the transition back into the workplace.
On top of that, their in-clinic services are geared toward individuals with complex diagnoses or medical histories, providing a focused environment for recovery.
Some clients, however, feel their treatment sessions are on the shorter side and a bit basic. But, we think their comprehensive range of services and experienced team still make them a valuable option for OT care.

Focus wasn’t just on recovery but also on regaining vitality
“I had a fantastic experience at CBI Health on Eglinton during my rehab treatment. The facility has a welcoming and fun atmosphere, making it a great place to recover. The staff were always nice and accommodating, especially Aila and Ruhi, who were exceptional throughout my treatment. What stood out to me was how the focus wasn’t just on recovery but also on regaining vitality and strength. I felt great and saw significant improvements in my posture even before completing the program. They also provided helpful post-rehab self-recovery workouts, which I still use today. I highly recommend CBI Health Eglinton for anyone seeking effective, all-around physical therapy and physiotherapy treatment for pain or injury recovery!”
