My cousin recently took up cooking as a hobby, and like most beginners, he started with whatever he could get his hands on. The more he cooked, the more he realized that the right equipment can not only improve a dish but also save time and effort.
That’s when I introduced him to the top kitchen supply stores in the city, each one packed with top-quality cookware and clever gadgets. He was so grateful that from then on, he let me taste most of his yummy creations first—score!
If you’re planning to spend more time behind the stove, here are the only kitchen supply stores in the city worth their salt.
How much do kitchen supplies cost in Toronto?
In Toronto, kitchen supplies can cost as little as $5 for simple utensils and go up to $500 or more for premium cookware or specialty appliances.
Everyday essentials like spatulas, cutting boards, and measuring cups usually stay under $20. High-quality knives, mixers, and cast-iron can range between $50 and $300.
Prices also depend on whether you’re shopping at big-box retailers, boutique kitchen stores, or professional-grade suppliers.
1. Consiglio’s Kitchenware

Since 1975, Consiglio’s Kitchenware has been curating high-quality kitchen products that belong in a true Italian home. Still operated by the Consiglio family, they’ve expanded to an online store where you can shop 24/7.
You’ll see specialty products like spiedini sets, waffle and pizzelle makers, and of course, pasta-making supplies.
In addition to Italian staples, their lineup of cookware is pretty impressive. Expect everything from Dutch ovens, braisers, and saucepans to niche tools like fondue sets, panini grills, and woks.
And if you care about brands, they carry heavy hitters like Le Creuset, Staub, Lodge, and Giannini, so quality is never in question.
But if you’re buying in-store, test out the merch first (if possible) or clarify their return policy. That’s because we heard complaints about defective equipment.
Incredible selection of restaurant & home cooking equipment
“We had an incredible experience ordering our large or cruet pot online, and picking it up in store. It was an extremely smooth pick-up, and the store itself has an incredible selection of restaurant and home cooking equipment. 10/10!!! I strongly recommend it to all!”

You can get really good deals on Le Creuset from here!
“You can get really good deals on Le Creuset from here! I purchased a Dutch oven on Friday afternoon, and shortly after, it was shipped. Received it in less than 24 hours from ordering. Phenomenal speed. The package was carefully packed, and the Dutch oven had no flaws. Initially, I was overwhelmed with the amount of foam pellets they used to protect the box, but they explicitly say on the invoice that the pellets are biodegradable and can be composted. I will not hesitate to purchase from them again. Thank you!”

2. Nikolaou Restaurant Equipment

Nikolaou Restaurant Equipment has over 38 years of hospitality industry experience under its belt, catering to chefs, home cooks, and everyone in between.
Their range is impressive, especially if you’re into baking or coffee—you’ll find everything from bread-making tools and pastry brushes to spatulas and silicone molds. Coffee lovers can also browse their lineup of coffee cups, grinders, brewers, and more.
One of their biggest draws is their hard-to-find equipment. We’re taking gelato makers, vac pac machines, and dough rollers—the kind of gear you see in restaurant kitchens.
Note that the space can feel a bit cramped due to its wall-to-wall offerings, so be careful while browsing.
Now, if you’re shopping online, make sure to visit their Clearance and Gifts Under $30 sections. Hopefully, you can snag quality tools without overspending.
Prices are fantastic, and so is the stock
“Brilliant and marvelously receptive folks. The prices are fantastic, and so is the stock and selection of pans, knives, and accessories. I left my name to reserve a skillet from the next shipment, and they emailed as soon as it arrived. I’m still enjoying my chef’s knives from a few years ago too 🙂 Thank you!”

Fabulous selection, exceptional pricing
“What a pleasure of a store. This is the kind of shop that I wish we had in London. Fabulous selection, exceptional pricing. I wish I had 3 suitcases I could fill before returning home.”

3. Tap Phong Trading Company

Founded in 1984, Tap Phong Trading Company had one goal: to make top-quality kitchenware accessible to everyone. Decades later, they’ve become a local kitchen supply landmark, even being featured in notable media outlets like CBC.
If you’re looking for Asian cooking tools, this spot is for you. You can find hot pots, takoyaki grills, noodle machines, rice cookers, and fish ball warmers, just to name a few.
Classic Western kitchen staples like toasters, juicers, deep fryers, bacon makers, and ice cream machines are available as well.
As for shopping perks, they offer free shipping within the GTA for purchases over $500 (before taxes). You can also buy gift cards for the home cooks in your life.
A downside we heard about—some shoppers have reported encounters with rude staff.
One of the best restaurant/kitchen supply stores ever
“One of the best restaurant/kitchen supply stores ever. Fully stocked for everything you could ever need for your home or commercial kitchen. Cookware, plates, utensils, takeout containers, bottles, and more. Prices are quite affordable. Plenty of Asian style plates and also more unique items, too, like an elephant teapot. Really great selection of good quality ceramic plates too.”

This place is a real Toronto treasure in Chinatown!
“This place has been here for decades on Spadina Ave., and I still love discovering surprising finds! I needed a small dish to put two condiments in, and they had several options. Finally decided on this beautiful yin and yang style! The place is usually busy, but we were lucky it was quiet on this Saturday morning. This place is a real Toronto treasure in Chinatown!”

4. Kitchen Stuff Plus

Founded by a university student, Kitchen Stuff Plus has come a long way from its beginnings at the Pickering Flea Market. Today, it’s a household name, recognized as the Best Kitchen Store by the Retail Council of Canada, Now Magazine, and more.
Aside from the usual pots, pans, and bakeware, you’ll see niche items like crepe pans and non-stick egg poachers. Big-name brands are well represented, too, with favorites like ZWILLING, Lodge, and Tuscana lining the shelves.
Bargain hunters (like me!) will appreciate their online promos, with discounts of up to 60% in the Clearance and Red Hot Deals sections.
And unlike other stores, they even offer a Price-Match Guarantee—if you find a lower price on an identical in-stock item, they’ll match it and throw in an extra 10% off!
Just watch out for their rather impolite vendors.
Great prices and many unique items
“Great selection of kitchen supplies. Great prices and many unique items. Items are organized and displayed nicely, making it easy to find what you are looking for. The staff is very friendly. I only wish there were more locations.”

5. iQliving

iQliving has been a part of Toronto’s Danforth and Greektown communities since 2005. It’s known as a go-to spot for kitchen shoppers who want quality and style.
We love their wide mix of brands, where you can shop for any budget. You’ll see well-known names like Bodum, Breville, Vitamix, and Cuisinart alongside Canadian companies like Bee Local, Bormioli, Danica, and Cuisipro.
A bonus is that most of them are environmentally conscious suppliers, donating part of their profits to local eco-friendly organizations.
If BBQ season is your thing, they’ve got everything from iron skillets, thermometers, skewers, grill baskets, and iron presses—all you need for your next backyard cookout.
The main drawback? Their shipping fees can be on the higher side. This might make online purchases less appealing for smaller purchases.
iQliving is such a fantastic kitchen supply store
“iQliving is such a fantastic kitchen supply store. I have been coming here for years, and always am able to find exactly what I am looking for…and sometimes a bit more! Haha, they have a wide variety of tools, gadgets, and cookware – everything from basics to specialty items. The selection is impressive, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The store layout is easy to navigate, which makes shopping a breeze. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help you find what you need or offer advice.”
