Follikill Permanent Hair Removal was founded by Rea, who spent years trying every hair removal method before discovering electrolysis. This led to her opening the clinic, which proudly declares, “The only thing you have to lose is your hair.” Cute, right?
The clinic uses a surgical microscope with 6x magnification for electrolysis treatments, along with a modern electrolysis unit, so they can target fine hairs with accuracy.
They’re also used to handling all skin types, including South Asian skin, which has more complex needs and a tendency towards post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
In terms of pricing, expect to pay $70 for 20 minutes, $100 for 28 minutes, $140 for 40 minutes, and $200 for 56 minutes.
A downside is that we heard about instances of bad customer service.

Just make sure to confirm your booking beforehand, since we heard about abrupt appointment cancellations.

Hairender has been around since 1984, providing safe, full-body electrolysis for both men and women.
To begin, fill out their online form, and one of their specialists will contact you within a day or two. Then, they’ll create a plan that works for you.
As for the electrolysis process, they’ll first insert a very thin metal probe right beside the hair shaft to reach the root of each follicle. Then, the follicle is damaged or destroyed.
What we’re really impressed by is their stringent cleaning protocols—they’ve installed custom Plexiglas shields around their microscopes, which are cleaned after every appointment. Plus, each treatment room has an air purifier.
Sadly, we heard that it might be hard to book a rush appointment here, since they’re very in demand. You would want to book way in advance.

By way of electrolysis treatment, they use the Blend method, which combines galvanic and thermolysis techniques. Medical pros believe this is the most effective type since it works rapidly. Just note that although effective, it’s slower than other methods.
Sessions are offered in 15, 30, 45, and 60-minute intervals. And prices are comparatively affordable, starting at $32 for up to 15 minutes, going up to $62 for a full 60-minute session.

Since 1997, Electrolysis By Rita Malina has been helping men and women say goodbye to their unwanted hair for good.
The process starts when she inserts a needle into the hair follicle. Then, a tiny amount of current is released for just fractions of a second to destroy it.
Levels of discomfort vary for everyone, but with Rita’s years of experience, she knows how to intuitively adjust settings to keep treatments as comfy as possible.
Another great thing is her hygienic practices—a new, sterile, disposable needle is used for each client. She also meets and exceeds all Canadian health and safety standards.
Treatments and consultations are by appointment only, and you can also score a free consultation by booking ahead. But since it’s a one-woman shop, appointments can be harder to get.
