Ever have one of those days when time just slips away and by the time you’re ready to hit the gym, it’s already closed? I’ve been there way too many times.
Let’s face it—life doesn’t always stick to a 9-to-5 schedule. So I rolled up my sleeves, hit up all the gym bros I know, and looked for the best 24-hour gyms in Toronto.
Whether you’re a night owl, an early bird, or just someone juggling a hectic day, these gyms let you work out when it suits you.
From gyms focused on intense strength training to those offering a little bit of everything, I’ve rounded up the best places to break a sweat—whenever the mood strikes.
How much do memberships to 24-hour gyms cost in Toronto?
Memberships to 24-hour gyms in Toronto typically range from $30 to $100 per month, depending on the type of gym and services offered.
Many gyms also offer flexible membership plans, including no-contract options or discounted rates for students and groups.
1. Fortis Fitness

Fortis Fitness is a go-to spot for serious fitness enthusiasts. This gym is loaded with top-tier equipment, from competition-grade bench presses to Olympic weightlifting bars, giving you everything you need to crush your goals.
They’ve even got training sessions inspired by pro athletes and Olympians, so you know you’re getting the real deal.
What’s great is that there are no long-term contracts—you can freeze your membership whenever you want. Plus, for the loyal crowd, you get an extra month free for every six months you stick around.
Meanwhile, new members get free orientations and training sessions, along with free educational resources on diet and lifestyle to complement their workouts.
Just a heads-up: there’s no staff on-site during late-night hours, so it’s not ideal for anyone who prefers to have assistance.
I wish I lived in Toronto so I could make this my new gym
“Amazing gym. I visited from New York and the staff was more than helpful. I scheduled an appointment for a day pass but ended up showing up an hour late because of downtown traffic. The employees were very patient and gracious and waited on me. The gym itself is a great facility and has all you could ask for: 15+ squat racks, over 7 olympic weightlifting platforms, 150lb dumbbells, all kinds of bodybuilding machines, a mini turf field, and the whole upstairs for cardio. I wish I lived in Toronto so I could make this my new gym.”

Staff are incredibly helpful and the members are super friendly
“I recently trained at Fortis Fitness for a month while in Canada from Australia. I cannot speak highly enough of the team and the members there. The gym is amazing with every bit of equipment you can imagine. The staff are incredibly helpful and the members are super friendly. Looking forward to my next trip so I can go back and train there!”

2. Vive Fitness 24/7

If you’re looking for a gym that has it all, Vive Fitness 24/7 is the place to be for a well-rounded fitness routine.
They’ve got all the essentials—free weights, cardio machines, a functional training zone, and even a dedicated space for interval circuit training so you can push yourself a bit more.
If you need some guidance, they also have personal trainers who offer customized workouts and nutritional guidance to help you achieve your goals within your own timeline.
For those who enjoy group workouts, Vive has a variety of classes to keep things interesting. You can take your pick from yoga, HIIT, or spin, giving you plenty of options to mix up your routine.
Unfortunately, they don’t have a squat or smith machine, so that limits your options for leg day.
Always clean, spacious and has a variety of equipment
“I joined Vive on Gerrard in January 2024 because I wanted a gym not connected to my workplace where I could focus on my workouts and not have to think about work. Apart from the staff who always greets me and offered TONS of encouragement when I was in a fitness challenge this spring, the place is always clean, spacious and has a variety of equipment (a Smith machine or hack squat machine is on my wish list 😉 It’s a great gym for anyone who prefers quality equipment and kind clientele over fancy washrooms and saunas. The classes are great: a good variety for all levels. Sunday yoga is my school year sanctuary.”

Trainers are extremely patient and knowledgeable
“Vive Fitness is gym with a great variety of exercise equipment. The trainers are extremely patient and knowledgeable. I’ve watched them doing their magic on clients and they always make it challenging and fun. Vive Fitness are also staffed with experienced physiotherapists at the location.
For the past 6 weeks I’ve been receiving physio from Gui for a work place hip injury. He has been having me do various exercises to strengthen my hip and all the muscles around it. He’s tolerated my yelps and after working on it for weeks, my hips have improved and my legs are much stronger. GUI knows exactly what to do to fix the problem and has been working patiently with me in treating it.”

However, there have been a few reports about some staff being rude at times.
Has everything needed
“The gym is in a nice part of town that is very easily accessible with any means of transportation. However, the facility is located in a building that features both commercial and residential space and can be easily missed (especially because the gym logo is white and not read like other locations). Gym has everything needed, including a sauna for post workout relaxation/stretching.
Mainly went there because this location is one with a 24/7 schedule, which makes it for the best workout in my opinion since I never feel like I’m in a rush.”

Customer service is of a very high- quality!
“Goodlife Fitness at Hanna Avenue is an amazing place to work out! The space is pretty spacious with almost all equipment needed! Moreover, I’d like to point out that customer service is of a very high- quality! All of my family members were signed up to the gym membership by Nevin, an extremely professional, considerate, patient, well-spoken, friendly and passionate about his job as a sales representative 😊 Not only my family members got their memberships with Nevin’s help, but also some of my coworkers. And all of them are thankful and satisfied with the outstanding customer service experience that was provided by Nevin! All the information provided by him was accurate and detailed, as well as all gym services were explained thoroughly! On top of that, Nevin always guides me through my membership. He keeps us posted about all gym’s updates and new services! Goodlife Fitness is super lucky to have Nevin in their team! Thank you, Nevin!!!”
