We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Is there anything better than a plate piled high with chicken wings, glistening with sauce?

Imagine each crunchy bite, crispy skin giving way to juicy meat and exploding with flavors—from fiery habanero glaze to the sweet embrace of honey garlic. The icy chill of a beer cuts through the heat, making you reach for another wing…and another.

Yes, I confess, I’m a total chicken-wing fanatic. From hidden gems with secret sauces to legendary spots with wings that have achieved local fame, I’ve scoured Toronto for the absolute best.

But enough gatekeeping these delicious destinations! It’s time to share the wealth (and the napkin stash, because things are about to get messy).

Here’s my top-secret guide to the top chicken wing spots in Toronto, guaranteed to satisfy your cravings and leave you wanting more!

Bb.q Chicken

BB.q Chicken stands for “Best of Best Quality,” and their motto is “Make people healthy, happy, and pleased by creating the world’s most delicious chicken.” From their wings alone, we believe they’re on the right track!

They’ve got a dozen varieties of wings, but we typically go for their classic—smoky, tangy, and with just the right amount of chew. The chicken itself is high quality; no funky oil smell here, just clean flavor.

We also love their other chicken flavors, from the unique Secret Sauce to Soy & Honey Garlic. They even have fun appetizers like three-cheese cheeseballs and their signature Rose Dduk-Bokki, a spicy rice cake dish with a surprising pink hue.

Being a Korean joint, they have a whole selection of beers, soju (a Korean rice liquor), and cocktails to wash it all down. My favorite soju is their refreshing Chamisul Green Grape.

Speaking of wings, they boast a mind-blowing range of flavors (over 150!), but you don’t have to feel overwhelmed. We tried the Spicy Garlic Parmesan, Hot Honey, Kansas BBQ, Lemon Pepper, and Levi or Leave It, and all of them were fantastic.

The wings themselves were perfectly cooked—crispy skin, juicy meat, and not overloaded with breading. Plus, they give you a good mix of flats and drums, which is always a win in our book.

As a bonus, the atmosphere is pure fun; the walls are like walking into your favorite anime, and random episodes play on the TVs. It’s perfect for a casual get-together with friends, whether it’s game night or just a wing feast.

All their wings and bites come with ranch dressing for dipping. Plus, portions are good, with sizes ranging from 5 pieces to a party-sized 30-piece order—perfect for watching the game or playing a round of poker.

The first bite took me right back to my childhood—wings are crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside, and the flavors are just like what mom used to make. They also offer breaded wings for those who like a thicker crust, and their sides are on point too.

Duff’s Famous Wings on College St is home to authentic Buffalo wings. This family-run chain has been serving up the real deal since 1969, and its first Canadian location opened in 1998.

They don’t mess around here. They use fresh, never frozen, chicken wings delivered daily, and follow the same secret Buffalo sauce recipes created back in ’69.

We tried the medium-hot wings (be warned, they pack a punch!) with creamy blue cheese dressing, and the dry sweet heat wings, which offered a nice sweet and spicy balance. Both were perfectly delicious!

But the wings aren’t the only must-tries. Their sides are on point too—crispy fries, onion rings, and a refreshing vinegar-based coleslaw that cuts through all that wet wing flavor.

Bistro on Avenue is a local Avenue Rd legend that has been serving up mouthwatering wings since 1977, and they’re still a crowd favorite today.

The secret to their success, according to founder Louis Nemes, is their meticulous attention to “spice.” This secret recipe makes their wings super flavorful and crispy and has won them countless People’s Choice Awards over the years.

We inhaled a plate of their lemon pepper wings, and they were fantastic. The seasoning was vibrant and flavorful, and the chicken itself was perfectly cooked—not gamey or mealy at all.

And if you want other dishes to accompany your plate of wings, know that The Bistro on Avenue menu has something for everyone. From classic pulled pork sandwiches and burgers to juicy ribs and fresh salads, you’re spoiled for choice!
