My friend Sarah had a big morning meeting lined up to impress a major client, but things went south fast.
Everyone arrived hungry but was faced with a sad spread of stale muffins and lukewarm coffee. I mean, the mood was less “Let’s close this deal” and more “When’s lunch?”
Determined to turn things around, Sarah called in one of Toronto’s top breakfast caterers for her next meeting. This time, there were flaky pastries, fresh fruit, and piping-hot coffee—the difference was night and day.
So, don’t let breakfast drama ruin your day! Here’s a list of the best breakfast caterers in Toronto to make your mornings stress-free and delicious.
How much does breakfast catering cost in Toronto?
Breakfast catering in Toronto typically costs anywhere from $10 to $30 per person, depending on the menu, portions, and level of service.
Simple options like pastries and coffee are on the lower end, while hot breakfast buffets with eggs, meats, and fresh fruit fall on the higher end. Additional costs, like delivery fees or staff service, can also affect the final price.
How We Chose the Best Breakfast Caterers in Toronto
1. Kiss The Cook Catering

From breakfast spreads to cocktail parties, Kiss the Cook Catering’s goal is to create polished experiences tailored to every client. And we love that their breakfast catering options offer something for everyone.
For instance, their continental breakfast is a classic choice, featuring freshly baked scones, muffins, and croissants from their 24-hour onsite bakery. For a heartier option, their deluxe hot breakfast lets you choose one entrée and two proteins.
If you’re after something healthier, try their build-your-own power bowls. They also have breakfast bagels and paninis—both portable and satisfying.
In addition to food, they can handle staffing, rentals, entertainment, and even create custom décor to elevate your event.
It’s no surprise they’ve worked with big-name clients like Penguin Random House, Nike, and Hallmark, just to name a few.
That said, we heard a few mentions of bland food.

2. Kitchenette

Kitchenette is a cozy, woman-owned catering service that brings a homey touch to breakfast events. They offer fresh, in-house-made food crafted daily.
Their popular à la carte breakfast items include buttery croissants, overnight oat cups, hearty breakfast sandwiches, and their signature quiche.
If you’re catering for a larger group, their hot breakfast buffet is a solid option. With a minimum order of eight dishes, you can build a satisfying spread from choices like scrambled eggs, French toast, hickory-smoked bacon, and more.
But for a more curated experience, their Breakfast Platters are a crowd-pleaser. Options include their signature breakfast, bagel & lox, classic bagel, and even brunch platters.
To complete your morning meal, coffee and tea services are also available.
Note that the lead time should be at least five business days—not the best choice for last-minute breakfast catering.
Breakfast sandwich is the best in the neighborhood
“I just discovered Kitchenette this week and have already been there 3 times lol. Incredible food at fair prices. The breakfast sandwich is the best in the neighborhood, and the chicken pot pie is possibly the best I’ve ever had! So happy to have found you.”

3. Decadent Catering

Decadent Catering has been a trusted name for over 25 years. It’s owned by Michael, who has acquired classical French training in Europe’s finest five-star restaurants.
Check out their popular Specialty Breakfast Bars, particularly the Good Morning, Toronto menu. This features an assortment of freshly baked scones, bagels, muffins, mini fruit danishes, and banana bread—all for a very reasonable $5.25 per person.
For heartier appetites, their hot breakfast buffet is a great choice, though it requires a 15-person minimum.
They also offer room temperature and hot breakfast sandwiches and burritos, which are perfect for on-the-go events or more casual setups.
To complement the food, coffee, tea, freshly squeezed orange juice, assorted sodas, and bottled water are available as well.
One downside is the abrupt cancellations of advanced bookings, which we heard about from previous customers.
Everything tasted fresh and it was prepared beautifully
“Before the holidays I inquired about a team breakfast event upon return to office. the coordinator was so helpful and quick to respond on any questions/concerns/changes I needed to make. The delivery was early and with such great service setting up. There was so much more food than I anticipated and even though the breakdown of what I ordered was provided it exceeded expectations. There is plenty of leftovers now and the meal was delicious!! Everything tasted fresh and it was prepared beautifully. If we have any events we will order again and will be recommending to others.”

Always high quality and a great variety of food
“Decadent has been providing breakfast and a snack to our corporate office every day for years. Always high quality and a great variety of food. I love that they give vegetarian options for every meal which helps both with those of us who don’t eat meat or those of us who have other dietary restrictions like needing kosher or halal food. They even do special menus for holidays like when everything for Valentines Day was heart shaped. Definitely recommend for any business or corporate catering event.”

4. Big City Catering

As a full-service catering company, Big City Catering has been serving up delicious meals across the GTA since 2007.
For a no-fuss option, their Continental Breakfast is a tried-and-true classic. It features an assortment of baked goods like muffins, croissants, pastries, and fresh fruit.
But if you’re looking for a healthier twist, their Fresh Fruit Platter is a refreshing choice. Packed with vibrant strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, melon, and more, it’s especially popular during warmer months.
They even offer various Breakfast Platters, providing even more variety for your event. Plus, they’re able to accommodate allergies, dietary restrictions, and alternative needs, which is always a win when catering to diverse groups.
However, there’s one drawback: being non-responsive to queries. We recommend making your inquiries well in advance to account for any delays.

The food was delicious, beautifully arranged on their wood platters, the delivery/driver was communicative and arrived on-time. 5. L-eat Catering

L-eat Catering has been around the city’s catering scene since 1983. Their slogan, “To cater is to accommodate,” reflects their passion for crafting chef-driven, seasonal, and tailored menus.
We appreciate their commitment to green initiatives—like using locally sourced ingredients, growing herbs and veggies in their urban garden, and recycling fryer oil.
And while their breakfast menu might be a bit smaller than some competitors, it’s packed with fan favorites. One is their baked blueberry french toast, served with whipped cream and syrup.
Another is their homemade granola. Made with oats and pumpkin seeds, it’s a healthy, hearty option that pairs wonderfully with yogurt or milk.
And if you’re planning to pop some bubbly in the morning (or maybe around brunch?), you’re in luck—they offer three certified sommeliers.
Some have said, however, that they have served cold food in the past.
You cannot find a better caterer
