We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

I was craving a serious cardio workout, but the monotony of treadmills and ellipticals was putting me to sleep. Good thing a friend steered me toward spin classes!

Spin classes are the perfect mix of high-energy beats, killer cardio, and group motivation that transforms your workout into a dance party. No wonder celebs like Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, and Kelly Ripa can’t get enough.

For anyone looking to elevate their workout routine, Toronto’s spin scene has it all—from studios with pulsing club vibes to candle-lit sessions. Here are the best spin classes in Toronto that will have you pedaling past your limits!

How much do spin classes cost in Toronto?

Single spin classes in Toronto generally range from $20 to $30, though some high-end studios may charge closer to $35 per class.
Many studios offer discounts with multi-class packages, bringing the per-class price down to around $15 to $25.  Monthly memberships range from $100 to $200+ depending on the number of classes and access to amenities.
Spin class prices vary based on the studio, class type, and package options.

How We Chose the Best Spin Classes in Toronto

Reviews and Reputation: We examined customer feedback and online ratings to assess each studio’s reputation for energetic classes and experienced instructors.
Instructor Quality: We considered the experience, training, and motivational skills of instructors to ensure classes are not only safe but also inspiring and challenging.
Class Variety: We looked at the range of class types offered, including high-intensity rides, endurance training, rhythm-based classes, and themed rides.
Facilities and Amenities: We evaluated each studio’s amenities, such as locker rooms, showers, bike quality, and extras like towel service or smoothie bars.
Pricing and Packages: We compared single-class prices, package deals, and membership options to find studios offering good value without compromising on quality.
Music and Atmosphere: We considered the music selection, sound quality, and overall studio vibe, from club-like atmospheres to more serene, candle-lit sessions.
Innovation and Technology: We looked for studios incorporating tech features, such as leaderboard screens, performance tracking, or app-based reservations.

Rise Cycle delivers 50-minute classes that pack a punch. Their playlists are also thoughtfully curated, so if you’re into rhythm-based classes, this spot is for you.

Each class is a total body workout. You’ll feel the burn in your legs, core, and upper body while also getting a solid cardio session.

We also like their cool, studio-inspired vibe. In fact, the spin room was designed by a recording studio designer.

For those new to Rise, the Introductory 2-Week Pass is a steal at $55, letting you try up to 10 rides in two weeks. It’s a great way to see if the vibe is a good fit.

Plus, if you’re planning a corporate bonding event or want a memorable way to celebrate a birthday, they offer private and semi-private rides tailored to groups.

One area for improvement—we heard about customers who had a less-than-friendly front desk experience.

Pros

  • Thoughtfully curated playlists
  • Designed by a recording studio designer
  • Has an Introductory 2-Week Pass
  • Offers private and semi-private rides

Cons

  • Unfriendly receptionists

Rise Cycle is one of the best!

“I have been to a TON of spin studios in Toronto and Rise Cycle is one of the best! The team is extremely welcoming (especially to new riders, which is surprisingly uncommon at a lot of other clubs). Rise is totally non-judgemental, has a great family feel, conveniently located right in the heart Liberty Village and I mean the aesthetics — if the mirrored light tunnel into the studio doesn’t get you going I don’t know what will!!!”

Emily Davidson, Google Review

Instructors are motivating without being pushy

“I can’t recommend Rise enough! This intimate spin studio creates a welcoming atmosphere that instantly eases any intimidation you might feel as you start your spin journey. Being part of a crew here is so much more rewarding than just being another face in a large studio. The entire team is incredibly supportive, and Andy, the owner, is genuinely nice and welcoming. The themed rides are a blast, and the instructors are motivating without being pushy. If you’re looking for a positive spin experience and a true sense of community, Rise is the place to be.”

Ride Cycle Club promises to deliver an intense cardiovascular workout that’s not just about the pedals but also about toning your whole body. The secret sauce? It’s all about those micro-bike movements combined with music.

With multiple sessions available throughout the day (7 days a week!), you can easily find a time that fits your schedule. Each instructor also has their own unique style, so you’ll never get bored.

Booking a class is super flexible, too! You can reserve your spot a week in advance or snag a bike up to 30 minutes before class starts, depending on availability.

If you prefer to spin at home, go for their virtual spin classes, with over 200 on-demand options. And the 7-day free trial is a fantastic way to test the waters.

Sadly, we heard about instructors occasionally singling out individuals during class—not ideal for introverts.

BUSINESS HOURSMon - Tue, Thu - Fri: 6 AM – 9:15 AM, 5 PM – 8 PM

Wed: 7:45 AM – 9:30 AM, 5 PM – 8:45 PM

Sat - Sun: 8:30 AM – 12:15 PM

CycleBar offers an inclusive, low-impact but high-intensity workout that’s suitable for all ages and body types. A cool bonus: your first ride is free!

Newbies should choose their Foundation class. It’s a rhythm-based ride, so you’ll be moving to the beat while focusing on the basics of indoor cycling.

For those who are already pros, the Xpress class is a quick but intense option. It’s a 30-minute, interval-packed ride that keeps you working hard right from the start, including a cool down at the end.

Music is a huge part of their spinning experience, thanks to CycleBeats, their proprietary playlist database, designed to keep you moving and elevate the mood.

And if you’re into tracking your progress, they have CycleStats. They measure six performance metrics during each ride and email you the results afterward.

Unfortunately, some people told us that the front desk staff were a bit unhelpful.

Pros

  • First ride is free
  • Has a Foundation class
  • Has an Xpress class
  • Has CycleBeats
  • Emails you CycleStats

Cons

  • Unhelpful front desk staff

CycleBar is THE best spin studio I’ve been to

“CycleBar is THE best spin studio I’ve been to. The instructor, Andrea, has a great energy and guides you perfectly if you’re new. They have a device to help you make sure you have the correct speed and gear. Playlist rocks. The space between the stations is great, lots of breathing room. And they have a cute surprise for you when they show you around. The front staff are also one of the nicest front staff around. You will rock your ride.”

CycleBar is superior in every way

“I LOVE CycleBar. I’ve been to almost every spin studio in Toronto (and Kingston/Ottawa) and CycleBar is superior in every way. They have the best music system, spacious bikes (I hate when studios cram extra bikes in so you’re elbowing ppl as you get to your bike), it’s so much cleaner than other studios and has the best teachers. Shout out to my faves: Alana, Gia, Megan (the OGs) and Katie and Emily who I’ve only known since they reopened but love them too!”

Loft Fitness Club is a laid-back studio that offers everything from spin and barre to pilates and yoga. Their goal is to bring people together through their love of movement, self-care, and, of course, great music.

Their signature Spin class is a 50-minute session designed to keep things interesting and dynamic. You’ll get a bit of everything—sprints, climbs, jogs, an upper body sequence, and even some light choreography.

If you’re up for something more intense, their Spin HIIT class might be just what you’re after. This 45-minute, cardio-focused ride puts a fresh twist on spinning with challenging intervals that mix heavy resistance, bursts, and endurance work.

On the other hand, we heard that the reception staff hasn’t gotten the best reviews. Some have found them to be a bit rude and prone to gossip.

Pros

  • Has a signature Spin class
  • Has a Spin HIIT class
  • Also offers barre, pilates, yoga, and more

Cons

  • Rude and gossipy receptionists

By far some of the best, most wonderful, and energetic instructors

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I am so grateful for LOFT, its a beautiful clean space with an incredible selection of classes for all fitness levels. Everyone is so nice and make you feel very welcome. I’ve taken a lot of different fitness classes and spinning classes in my time and these are by far some of the best with the most wonderful and energetic instructors who are always there to help and cheer you on. Thanks LOFT!”

This place is amazing!

“This place is amazing! I found it through the mom and baby class run by Lina which was the perfect class to gently return to exercise post partum. I then switched into the spin classes and absolutely loved Heathers spin to yin. All instructors were great but Heathers classes were my favourite. Front desk staff are so helpful and friendly and they remember you week to week. I have moved out of the city and miss it here so much.”
