Is drinking alcohol allowed in Toronto’s public parks?

For a limited time, Toronto residents aged 19 and older will be allowed to drink alcohol in public parks across the city. The city’s pilot project will run from August 2, 2023 to October 9, 2023.

The city’s project is partially inspired by other Canadian cities, like Vancouver, Edmonton, and Calgary, that started similar programs. Toronto will collect data from the project and evaluate if it’s beneficial to make the mandate permanent.
