You’re not allowed to smoke at Scotiabank Arena. There’s a strict no-smoking policy in place, and smoking of any kind isn’t permitted inside the building, including all restaurant areas, suites, and lounges. 

If you’re caught smoking inside the arena, you will be asked to leave.

There’s no designated smoking area inside Scotiabank Arena; however, there’s an outside smoking area on the main level of the arena. This is located on the west side of the arena, near Gate 1.

Take note that you need to bring and present your valid ticket to be able to get back inside the arena. Failure to do so would hinder you from getting back inside.

Where can I smoke near Scotiabank Arena?

According to the City of Toronto’s smoking bylaw, smoking is prohibited within 9 metres of an entrance or exit of any public place. But to be safe, here are smoking-friendly spots and establishments near Scotiabank Arena:

Steam Whistle Brewing is nestled within the historic Roundhouse Park, a charming former train roundhouse situated in the heart of downtown Toronto. 

While smoking is not permitted inside the brewery, they do have a designated smoking area on the patio near the entrance.

Real Sports Bar

You’ll find Real Sports Bar at 1 Front Street West, across the Scotiabank Arena. This bar is a popular hub for sports fans and with their hundreds of TVs, this is the perfect place to be if you lucked out of tickets for the game.  

Real Sports Bar has an outdoor patio where you can smoke freely.

The Loose Moose– or as we locals call it, Antler Room is a popular laid-back pub known for its friendly atmosphere. You’ll find it a few blocks from Scotiabank Arena, at 222 Front Street East.

Like in most bars and restaurants in the city, you can’t really smoke indoors but the bar has a spacious outdoor patio where you can.

The Porch is a rooftop bar that’s located on top of the Thompson Toronto Hotel, which is located at 550 Wellington Street West.

The bar offers a stunning view of the city, and you can freely smoke in their outdoor smoking area.

The Docks is a waterfront bar located at 100 Lakeshore Boulevard West, just a short walk from Scotiabank Arena. It has a large outdoor patio with stunning views of Lake Ontario. 

They also have a smoking lounge on the patio.
