How We Chose the Best Brazilian Steakhouses in Toronto
1. Brasileirissimo Steak House
|1209 Dundas St W, Toronto, ON M6J 1X3
|Mon-Sun: 12 PM–9 PM
Brasileirissimo Steak House is a passion project born from Chef Uflander’s over 15 years of culinary experience. This authentic churrasco joint aims to bring the soul of Brazil to Toronto, offering everything a meat lover craves.
We highly recommend their picanha or the rump cap – a melt-in-your-mouth steak, generously portioned and kissed with garlic. We also loved their tender bife a casa arroz or strip loin steak served with gravy, rice, beans, and a salad.
Their menu includes their classic coxinha – crispy golden parcels bursting with juicy chicken – and the feijoada, a comforting and hearty Brazilian stew. Seafood and sandwiches are also available.
To wash it all down, pair their meaty offerings with their fresh suco Basileiro or Brazilian juice made from natural guava and passion fruit.
Unlike other places that only allow walk-ins, they accept reservations.
Authentic and delicious Brazilian restaurant
“It has been a long time since I ate in an authentic and delicious Brazilian restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The food was well seasoned and representative of the typical Brazilian food. The atmosphere was cozy and very warm, with a Brazilian TV program playing in the background. The desert was phenomenal and the coffee was amazing! I highly recommend this place!”

What I love is how they are so generous with their portions and sides. Really admire how they work extremely hard even at times like these to ensure quality service and food that will leave you coming back for more.”

Rio 40 Restaurant has been a culinary landmark in TO since 2004, capturing the hearts of both Brazilians and Canadians. The name pays homage to the hot 40-degree climate of Rio de Janeiro.
The restaurant lives up to its fiery reputation with a menu featuring grilled options and traditional Brazilian dishes. Their signature dish is the picanha, a rump steak accompanied by pan-fried sausage and onions served with garlic bread.
Their menu also boasts a wide array of salads, fish, meat, and poultry dishes, as well coffee, wine, beer, and cocktail options. Don’t miss their famous caipirinha cocktail—a unique blend of lime or pineapple, cachaça Pitu, which is a Brazilian spirit, and sugar.
The ambiance reflects their rich culture, with chandeliers illuminating their walls adorned with posters of famous Brazilian landmarks. Their spacious tables make it ideal for sharing multiple dishes.
Everything was so delicious and mouth-watering
“Delightful place. It was my first time to give it a try with my friends. I ordered the Fried Cassava appetizer, Grilled Sirloin Steak main dish and Creme Brulee dessert. I have also had fresh lemon juice. Everything was so delicious and mouth-watering. The staff was very friendly and helpful to accommodate your diet. Highly recommend it if you want to have a Brazilian food vibe.”

The steak was tender and juicy
“We always pass by this place and see it’s popular. Finally dined in and my husband and I got the Grelhado Misto and it was so delicious! The steak was tender and juicy and we wanted some more! 😁 The fries was one of the best tasting fries I’ve had. Price is decent for the serving size and they do come with a few sides. ❤️I couldn’t finish mine and had to take it home. The place looks nice as well but I think the music was too loud for me. Our server was friendly and accommodating. 🙂 Highly recommended if you want to try Brazilian cuisine.”

3. Rodeo Brazilian Steakhouse Rodizio
|95 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1N2
|Wed-Sun: 5:30 PM–11 PM
Rodeo Brazilian Steakhouse Rodizio hails from the Portuguese tradition “rodizio,” meaning “rotation.” This practice dates back to the 18th century in Southern Brazil—a nod to the communal spirit of cowboys who shared open-fire-cooked meat.
The food includes a rotation of prime rib, steaks, and lamb chops, and we recommend choosing the superior cuts of picanha AAA beef strip loin.
If you’re looking for a palate cleanser, you should definitely try their delicious rotisserie pineapple. They actually coat pineapples with a blend of cinnamon and brown sugar before roasting them on a blazing spit.
Beyond meats, they also offer a spread of salads, appetizers, and seafood. Vegetarian options are also on the menu.
During Fridays and Saturdays, they hire samba dancers and put on live music shows, transforming the dining experience into a celebration.
Speaking of celebrations, Rodeo’s spacious venue caters to various events, from intimate celebrations to corporate meetings.

Friday: 5 PM–12 AM
Sat-Sun: 4 PM–12 AM
Copacabana is the brainchild of Chef Michael Rudan. Before opening his restaurant, he honed his craft in Porto Alegre, Brazil, learning the method of rodizio from local experts.
The restaurant offers over 18 cuts of perfectly grilled meat, carved tableside. These include skirt steak, picanha – both classic and Parmesan-kissed – and an array of lamb, chicken, and seafood.
We recommend their prime hanger steak, marinated in anticucho and served with sweet peppers, vinaigrette, and farofa or fried cassava flour. In terms of side dishes, the brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and fried rice are a must-try.
Aside from meat, they offer a salad bar with health-conscious options, from pesto pasta and kale salad to the exotic couscous.
We suggest grabbing a seat on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, because for just $80, you get the full rodizio experience, along with unlimited drinks.
Everything I tried was cooked absolutely perfectly

Very friendly staff that went out of their way to ensure that we were satisfied. They also have live dancers and music for your entertainment.”

Brazilian’s Choice invites diners into a no-frills environment with a focus on authentic steaks, coxinha or chicken, and prawn dishes. The ambiance is casual but charming, with bright-hued walls, black-colored seating, and clean light wood floors.
In terms of steak, we recommend their picanha grelhada or grilled rump steak, served with two sizable steaks, rice, and three sides. Customers have commented on how they had to bring home leftovers due to their generous portions.
Another top recommendation is their tender beef parmigiana that comes with white rice, pinto beans, and french fries.
To top off the meal, try their special dessert which is available only on Saturdays, the guava volcano— a cream cheese mousse topped with guava syrup.
They also offer a selection of beer and cocktails, rounding out a simple yet satisfying authentic Brazilian meal.
I loved the steak and the coxinhas as well
“Absolutely great food I loved the steak and the coxinhas as well. The only reason that I’m giving 4 starts instead of 5 is because I’ve ordered the steak rare and it came well done other than that it was great and the coxinhas were great I just wish the price for the coxinhas could be better a little bit.”
